You know nothing. Morey didn't want to give Dragic a player option just because he had a good half a season and he wasnt yet the player he is now. Morey valued cap maneuverability, you know, until he landed a star player. Les also liked Lin's marketability. Shortly after, he landed Harden and then Howard the next year. Now he's possibly in position to land Dragic. So there you go.

Now you go away Baki... I mean Taki.

Hello Baki. Are you coming back on board with the Rockets if they get Dragic?

would the Rockets trade Motiejunas?

The only other deal would be Terry, Terrence Jones, and the Pelicans pick (or their pick?).

For the Lakers it would just be expirings and a pick.

Rockets can make a better offer and that would really bring that team to another level.

For the Suns, they should really be looking at moves for him sadly. Hes a great player, but they have too much depth there. They need a player of his level at the 2 or 3. I love Tuckers toughness and intangibles and Green is a great scorer but I think they are the weakest links of that starting 5.

I wonder if they would have any interest in a big man like Brook Lopez.

Only if Alderman, Parsons, Lin, Asik, MWP, Battier and even Scola had never left, Dragic would still have to come off the bench anyway or play SG.

Hey, he's made a few good moves, but he has plenty of god-awful moves to match. It's not that he's a bad GM, but the myth that surrounds is totally laughable and utterly unheralded. Masaii seems to foster the same daft sycophancy. Both seem to love the spotlight, that's for sure. Meanwhile, Buford and Riley can polish their rings and dust off those banners.

...and yet they still call themselves clutch city. Probably time to retire that one.

Considering the rising cap, it's equivalent to a 14m/yr deal. For an All NBA level point guard, I think that's fair. I personally think the Hornets should be trying whatever it took to get him. Lakers shouldn't give up much in a trade, they got a GREAT shot signing him outright. No point in surrendering assets.

Lakers should not commit themselves with any players until Kobe retired. There is really no reason to get Dragic if all he does as PG is hand the ball to Kobe. If Kobe decided to be "PG", Dragic just a catch and shoot guard. No point to pay anyone more than minimum for those function.

Also, what if Kobe decided to resign a few more years?

I would Love to have Dragic here in Lakerland. However, Jerry's wonderful children stripped the franchise clean of asset's. The Suns better not be getting another first from us, especially for a 32 game rental. The Lakers cannot afford to lose the few precious assets they have. We (hopefully) have two 1st rounders this year. If the Suns trade Dragic for the Rockets 1st that the Lakers have, and then the Lakers end of losing their lottery pick to the Suns if it drops to number 6, I couldn't even handle that. That will set the franchise back a decade.

The Lakers FO just needs to chill out, and stop sending picks away. We're just as bad as New York's Tweedle Dee/Tweedle Dum franchises, and that's pathetic.

Raptors don't need Dragic or IT but IT is a great spark off the bench - just a point guard dominated league with few teams needing someone. I think the Knicks or Nets are the best option for IT

Do you actually think Dragic is worh $8M/yr more than Kyle Lowry?

If I was the Lakers, I'd trade for him. No need to give him of all people the max, PG is the deepest position in the NBA. A Dragic/healthy Kobe/Randle core looks more attractive for potential free agents.

Because Kobe is a young, healthy player on the rise and Randle is proven?
Too many question marks.

What is this Randle hype? He's barely played a meaningful game.

he was the most nba ready player in a stacked draft. he was also considered to go top 3 until his injury in college. he's only 19, and he has a good head on his shoulders. he'll be a legit starting PF in this league.
