Bad teams shouldn't trade future 1sts, even protected, and especially for guys with "nice backup PF" upside.

I actually think Payne will blow up for them. Nice pickup

Seems like a reach for an old rookie who is just ok in the D-League.

Payne has some back to the basket skills which doesn't always translate into D-League stats. I liked him out of college and I think he is worth a non-lottery pick.

I don't know what Sacramento's future picks look like but they should get in on Dragic if it's true he's available. They'll have to be fine paying him an extension + giving up picks/assets. I would do it. It sucks being bad for so long.

IMO Sacto is doomed until they get a true alpha dog to keep DeMarcus in line. I've said this many times, but Boogie reminds me so much of a young Rasheed Wallace. Brimming with talent, mercurial and unstoppable...when he wants to be. Rasheed led a bunch of **** head Blazers teams that didn't do much and really didn't fulfill his true potential until he was closing out his prime with the Pistons. And that only worked because Chauncey, Ben Wallace and Rip were there to tell him to shutup and put the team first.

Boogie is on a dangerous trajectory and I'd hate so see all that talent wasted for the next 5+ years until he goes to a team with a true leader. And no, despite his immense talent I don't think Dragic can be that leader - needs to be a stronger personality.

Dragic wouldbe a good fit at PG for Sac. They could look to give Collison and a future 1st for Dragic, maybe add a bench big if Phoenix wants that.

And Cousins probably wouldn't see an alpha dog come to Sacramento. Most likely.

Kinda like the Monta situation with us. I think you're absolutely right about having strong vets help Cousins to stay locked in.

If I were them I'd look at Dragic, wing defenders and shooters and a big man who can help everyone else out on defense. Barring bringing in another alpha dog (and honestly outside of Cousins the Kings don't have the assets) the Kings will have to try and get a little better each year.

How about the Rockets in Dragic rumors? Not sure how it will work with Harden holding the ball 90% of the time on offense. Makes them a better shooting team and dragic drives to the hoop as well.

The danger there is that they could end up with a Dwight/Magic situation. Built the ultimate support squad for their star with nobody to rein him in, then it plateaus early and goes to **** quick.

Fair point.

I'm more of a DMC fan than a Sac fan. I would love to see him on a team where he falls in line. I thought earlier in the year he was more engaged defensively than I've ever seen him. He's never going to be an elite defender, but better effort than he's exhibited recently. Kings just had to go out and shoot themselves in the foot.

I agree - I LOVE Cousins. Been a huge fan of his since Kentucky, when teams would abandon John Wall to double DeMarcus off the ball. Dude would score amidst triple teams down low, you knew he was gonna be the man at the NBA level.

After this season I would take a serious look at Cousins....because as much as I love Bogut, he's breaking down and can't be fully relied upon. Cousins is much more durable. I also think some defense could be coached into him. I think Ron Adams is a perfect coach for him.......he's a put your arm around the big fella and talk some sense into him. Cousins wants to win, and much of his frustration tantrum stuff is from the losing.

He shares tons of blame for losing, but he's also surrounded by crap and has been for his time in Sac. With Draymond and other defenders around him he could give a much better defensive effort. His passing and offense are elite right now, and so is his rebounding in traffic.

Yes Ezeli would be good protecting Cousins and carrying his luggage in the airport.

I know it would never happen but am I wrong to think a Bogut-Boogie front court couldn't dominate both offensively and defensively?

Splash Brothers and Cousins. Potential Big 3? Imagine that spacing for Boogie to work down low. Then he would play like Bogut with those passing skills w/ mid-range shooting on his game (Still developing his 3-ball). I agree on pursuing him after this season or maybe on the 2016 offseason, especially if he demands a trade to get out of Sactown.

Too big. Should be smaller. Green and Cousins Front court would be awesome. If we pursue Boogie, preferably on 2016, where Lee's contract would expire, then maybe a trade of Bogut (expiring in 2016) and filler (maybe Barnes) would do the trick.

You can look at him all you want, he ain't coming here. He'd have to demand a trade for Sac to trade him. He is signed to 2017-18.
