We can get KG on draft night, for the ATL pick which will be 29-30 (swap with BKN) by using Rondos TE.

This takes BKN under the luxury tax line, unless they must go under it at an earlier date ? (That i'm not sure of). But they can trade us their ATL pick since it would be used .. even if they owe us one next year.

If all it costs them is a 1st round pick at 29-30, why not ?

Player in the last year of his contract can't be traded after trade deadline. Also, team' salary situation on the last day of the season is used for luxury cap calculations.

KG + 'asset' into our TPE before deadline is an option if Nets decide to go that route

BKN can't trade 2015 round. BKN give 2014 and 2016.
And in draft night KG practically will be FA.

Thornton x fields and stiemsma (save money)
Prince x wright, claver, burton (save money)
Bass x o'bryant + bucks second round
Turner x shved + NY second round
Pressey, o'bryant, randolph: cut or for nothing
Crowder + minnesota round and/or bucks and NY second round for kanter

smart, burton, shved

The first five trades just aren't necessary.. Don't think Crowder can get you Enes..

If you believe in PO maybe. But this team need to get assets for their role players and save money in huge contracts.
Ins't only crowder, also minnesota round and/or second rounds.

Would love to flip the Rondo TPE for a big 2015 expiring like KG and a pick, then trade that 2015 expiring for a 2016 expiring like David Lee to net even more picks.

Just wish there were a way to do it while getting picks in 2017 and beyond. We already stocked for 2015 and 2016 drafts.

Does KG still have the no trade clause even though he waived it in the pierce trade?

I believe that his no trade clause is in tact.

The Kings want a stretch 4 and perimeter shooting.. Ilyasova has been mentioned.. We could get in on this with Thornton to SAC or Bass to MIL. Sullinger for Mclemore and Bradley for Kanter I could also get behind, but that's a huge dice roll.

Bass to MIL, Ilyasova to SAC, Stauskas/Thompson to BOS?

Just some crazy talk here, but Milwaukee and Sanders have not agreed on a buy out yet right? What kind of asset would they include to move that contract? It fits in the Rondo TPE......

Ira Winderman: Heat D-League affiliate, Sioux Falls Skyforce, reacquire Andre Dawkins after his second 10-day contract expired with Celtics. Twitter @IraHeatBeat

Hadn't seen that anywhere. I believe that leaves the team with an open roster spot.

I could see them landing Brendan Haywood's weird contract from Cleveland. They are in the tax now and if they use it to bring in salary this summer could end up heavily in the tax. CLE might have might have shot it's was in terms of bringing guys in, maybe they just jettison it now to save a little $.

Yeah, we (along with Philly) can help the few teams that are over the luxury tax line of $76.8 million get below it (using our TPEs). The Nets, Clippers, Cavaliers, Knicks, Raptors, Thunder, Pelicans and Lakers are over the tax threshold, so maybe we get some second round picks coming our way for helping them get below the line. Never let assets go to waste.

Just a little correction - Raptors, Lakers and Pelicans are under the tax. Other five teams are over.

Trade Ideas Thread

I'm expecting a move since Andre Dawkins was not re-signed. Seems strange for him to be signed to 2 10-day deals then not play a game.

You can sign a player to max. two 10 day contracts, than you have to decide to sign him for season or not.

Talking about helping teams out of tax, imo Philly will do that, no need to go into contest with them.
