I think Kenny is full of crap. He acts like Madison Square Garden is only place that you get energy for doing cool stuff like great screens and etc.

Boy, in Energy Solutions in SLC, people here know basketball. We only have celebrities at certain times of year, but people here are just as big of fans and knowledgeable as New Yorkers, probably more so. However, I will say we are probably way more biased, were like a Celtic game, you got bloody screaming, and ravage against other teams.

It's more about volume and city wide interest of basketball. It's called the Mecca of basketball for a reason and has nothing to do with the Knicks. The entire city just embraces basketball and even the stars recognize it. There's a reason stars like MJ, Kobe, Lebron, Steph, and others mark Knicks games on their calendars. NYC is just hype. No one is amrking Utah on their calendars. Sorry, no offense, but Utah just doesnt' get people hype.

Maybe cause they don't get a dozen national games all season, and get media attention like poster boy Melo. Jazz fans aren't here to support incoming players. Player mark their calenders here cause they don't want to come, cause they don't want to face the wraith known as Jazz fans. If your marking down an enemies game, cause you love their fans and stadium, then those fans are weak and aren't doing their job.

Don't question Utah. They have the biggest youth basketball program. Virtually 9 in 10 people are fans, and for 1 team. New York ego is what you talking about, and that ego doesn't include basketball. Yeah New York, bigger "better" city, but that doesn't mean their basketball, and fans are automatically better. Jazz have had better attendance and TV ratings for decades.

This could have been in Sacramento and it would be the same thing. The NBA dictates this ridiculousness along with TNT / ESPN and this is what we get.

Same reason why tickets aren't available to the public. The All Star game / weekend really isn't for the fans anymore.
