Although I don't think it'll happen, imagine the lineup...

Lowry/Derozan/JJ/Patterson/Cousins

Patterson for more spacing with Cousins posting up. Amir/Lou/Vas off the bench. :o

I would be hesitant to add COusins to a team that can only give him 30% shooting to space the floor.

teams would just pack the middle defensively and what would space them out?

only consistant shooter is Lowry.

would absolutely need to add shooting at the sf spot and would need to start patterson to offset the needed space for Demarcus to occupy and make room for Demar at the 20 foot range spot so he can post the dazzling mid to high 30% shooting he brings to the table.

I'm high on JV, he has all the tools to be really, really good. T Ross looks like a guy who lacks heart and determination, he is pretty talented as well and maybe a change of scenery would be beneficial for him, he can be a lock down defender and 3 pt shooter if he just focused, he can be that bail out guy as well at the end of the shot clock or be that 3rd option in his prime on a contender if he just focuses.

I'd love to get us talented players, at the end of the day, talent and leadership wins you games and so far we have pretty good leadership but don't have enough talent (consistency) .

Kennedy is not a reliable source. The problem now is that idiot bloggers take a claim by Kennedy and fap and fap about it like it might have truth. It's just about generating hits for secondary or tertiary sites that need the traffic to get some ad revenue.

If it doesn't come from ESPN, Yahoo, etc, or on occasion, a good local beat writer, it has no foundation and is either an outright lie, or some agent playing games with a guy he's going to need to drive the rumour mill just before the draft.

I think the media is right - the real media, not these self-appointed and self-interested bloggers who overwrite about trade deadlines and the draft. The Raps are not likely to do anything this week.

If they do, my bet is they will deal an expiring and our 2015 draft pick, but nothing of substance goes off our roster.

JV is almost 2 full years younger than Cousins. Let that sink in a minute.

I don't care how talented he is. No.

And which "star" would these 2 actually fetch??

I think writers are bored and have to kill time until raps begin playing again on Friday.

Cousins has the mind of a 12 year old and Jonas takes him to school every time they play.

Call me crazy but JV's upside plus his stable mind, ultimate team player approach and love for this city and organization outweighs Cousins talent over JV. I think by next year the gap in talent will be marginal. Cousins reminds me of a guy who would demand a parking spot for his mom or demand a trade da hell outta this frosty city.

Cousins is the best big man in the league, you have to at least make the call.

I wouldn't mind to see JV traded given how he's been treated by Casey. And as long as that clown remains the coach I think JV's ability to reach his potential will be stunted.

By trading for Demarcus Cousins you are asking for a headcase. Sure he is talented but I don't think Lowry, Demar and Casey are strong enough to manage him. He would fit better on a veteran team that has more respected players. And in a recent interview with Bill Simmons Demarcus appears to be content in Sacremento.

I'd be more open to trading Ross though.

Good, I want JV to thrive on a team that has a brain.

News to me.

I cant believe people are actually arguing and debating about trading Val + for Cousins. Do it and dont even look back.

JV/Ross/picks is probably the only reasonable deal Masai can offer. Maybe you swap out Ross and put in Derozan. Otherwise, that's kind of highway robbery unless SAC is 100 percent sold that JV is a future star.

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

People who wouldn't trade JV for Cousins because of maturity are immature.

I'd certainly take Boogie Cousins. Even if he acts like a child, you better bet that Lowry's gonna fix this boy up!
