I like Gibson, and realize he really helps us win now (and near future most likely), but I'd still have a hard time parting with our 1st this year for him. He'll be 30 soon. I realize his miles aren't that of a normal 30 year old player, but still.

I'd much rather have our pick and a chance at a Tyus Jones.

I'm reasonably certain I saw a version of this where you'd written 'his body can't really old up anymore'... Did you sneaky edit?

Outstanding Freudian slip!

Guilty as charged, sir. I thought I was quick with the edit but apparently not. Nice catch and my accidental genius thanks you lol.

Was just having a quick look on my phone before work. Almost sig worthy!

I think your logic is a little off. If they are trading Gibson to have room to sign Butler this offseason wouldn't taking salary back in either Mayo or Ersan defeat that purpose? Sure it's one less year of salary but it's next year that the Bulls will be worried about salary wise since the cap will explode in 2 years so really they don't benefit at all from this deal.

That is probably true. Would you consider a Henson straight up for Taj? He has one year until his QO and that would do the job. Likewise, you could do Zaza + Clips 1st for Taj and that saves them 2.8 mil in each year. We would be unbelievably thin at center either way though. Or if we are getting Cole, do Bayless and Clippers 1st for Gibson.

Ahem.

If you found yourself in possession of Stauskas and Randle, who would you look to flip them for?

I'm leaning towards this camp to. Wouldn't be shattered if we got Gibson and I like our chances in the first round which would be exciting. Trading a first for a 30 year old at the deadline as a 6th seed is hardly 'owning the future' though.

Hey guys, what would it take to get Mayo to Miami. I know the last few pages you've reported that Mil has interest in Cole, I understand he should be a net negative but sometimes franchises make traded that just leave you baffled. That in mind and assuming the rumours are true, what would it take along with Cole to get Miami Mayo? I've always liked him, he's a good scoring 2 off the bench and Miami really
Need that. You don't even have to include Norris Cole if you don't want, but what would it take?

I feel like Sacramento would cut us out insanely fast.

I think everyone is available in Denver now. Maybe we should try a 3 way with Chicago? Not sure what we all have to offer but I would love if we somehow ended up with Lawson and Gibson. Might be a steep price.

I think Pekovic in the east with the talent we have surrounding him is more of a game changer than Gibson & comes at a cheaper price (in terms of what we part with, not his contract).

The only way the Norris Cole thing(if it's even true) makes any sense is if we're moving a guard in another trade, which is interesting.
