I really want Masai to fleece the kings for Stauskas. Lotto pick from this year, from Canada, a sharp shooter.

If there is any inkling the Kings want to move Cousins you do not spare anything in trying to get him. JV/Ross/Bruno/2016 1st/Bebe. Cousins would dominate the East for YEARS to come.

JV would outscore Cousins right now while making far fewer turnovers than DMC if we pounded him the ball for 18 shots a game. We all know that won't be happening though. I'd be vehemently opposed to trading JV for Cousins. If we want a star player - we'd do well to start devising ways to get the one we have in the making more than 8 shots a game.
Yes and if JJ got as many touches as harden HE would be scoring champion.

Unfortunately not as JJ doesn't average as many points per shot as Harden does - and it's unlikely JJ's efficiency would stay high with increased usage due to the kind of points JJ normally gets. On the other hand, there is no reason to believe JV's efficiency would decrease significantly with increased usage. If we gave him the ball in the post 50% more, he'd most likely score roughly 50% more points. Any time JV gets minutes and shots he puts up big numbers. We just elect not to use him as we're too busy having our guards fire up long 2s and pull up 3s.
If we got Cousins do you think we're going to throw him the ball inside for 18 shots a night? We have a legit weapon in there now that we gleefully ignore.

I don't know the stats but the eye test tells me that Jv is not a great post iso player and his fg percentage is mostly due to putbacks and drop off dunks /layups. If Val was given twice the touches his fg would dip no question.

I don't care how talented he is. No.

lmao. I don't know what more comical, the fact that the JV nuthuggers are in here not wanting to trade him for a player who on his worst day is twice the player he is currently or the fact that they show a video of DMC not trying on defense and letting the opposing team score while JV legitimately tries, and the other team still scores.

How many years does he have left on his contract?

3 years, not bad. After that our core is done anyway

JV and Ross wouldn't be enough for Cousins we would probably have to throw in a couple firsts

This is the only scenario where I would say ... it hurts, but I get it.

HOWEVER... They just inked George Carl to a fresh deal and I very much doubt he signs on knowing that Cousins is getting traded. No way.

Debatable. I mean Lowry would be on the tail-end of his prime. But if we still had DD/Cousins they would be in their prime years, with an exponentially larger cap.

Cousins is crazy skilled but it's fairly obvious he's a cancer and a chemistry killer.. There's no knowing when the dude is gonna snap, take two techs and get tossed. Not the kind of attitude you want to have on your team, and i can't see lowry or derozan (and especially casey) having the nuts to stand up and put him in line

You guys are on some serious KUSH if you wouldn't trade val + Ross for DMC. This trade turns us into a contending team

Might as well add Royce White, Beasley and Delonte to the mix. If smokin buds is the only issue with Sanders I would bring him in but if he truly hates making millions then that is a hole in his head that is never going to be back filled by Masai or any other horse whisperer.

What doesn't make sense is George Karl running a half court type team.

He needs a team that runs. Cousins is not that type.
