Dragic getting paid a huge deal would then come in the context of money we're saving from not paying Knight.

So what would we think of Dragic / Plumlee for Knight / Ersan / LAC pick let's say?

Bet we'd go on a serious tear (including playoffs) to close the season. The risk would be losing Dragic, which would be real rough any way you slice it....but at least in this scenario we'd drop Ersan's salary to be better positioned to sign one of the centers on the open market.

The more I think about this, the more I like it, however I'm not quite sure how the Bucks would explain this to the casual fan just starting to get back on board unless they have serious intentions of making a run for Dragic. If it's just a rental, then who becomes the PG next year? Are we sold on Marshall?

Seems like asking prices of sellers are outrageous this year

I think that would be the fit. He brings something the team doesn't currently have.

I'd rather keep Knight then any of these deals that have been posted.

Yet at the end of the day, some of these teams may pull the trigger on something. It just depends on how different franchises want to position their teams for 2016 when the salary cap explodes.

Nah, I can't get on board for trading Knight and the Clippers pick for what could very well end up being a rental. Would rank up there with the Tobias Harris deal if it goes south.

Shocking that whole Dragic/Bledsoe/Thomas thing isn't working out as expected.

I think the casual fans would love Dragic these last 30 games and in the playoffs, but the key would be keeping him of course.

If he could pull it off it'd be Kidd showing his promise not only as a coach but as a recruiter who can get and keep talent here.

If we swing and miss, at least the fans will know we tried and will not abide mediocrity. We then pick up a new PG in the draft to develop behind Bayless and Marshall, or maybe we trade ZaZa or Henson for a 1 after we sign a 5 like Koufos to bolster the center spot.

But because we don't have that we are winning games. We're winning off our defense and unselfishness on the offensive end. You bring in a guy like Kanter or Pekovic and you instantly have one of the worst players in the league in those categories. I don't see the risk/reward being even on a player like that for this team if the goal is to win games.

Yeah, we're winning with unselfish offense and defense. Let's not throw an Anthony Mason type post ball stopper in just to see what happens.

On top of it our defense relies on guys covering quite a bit of ground, and Pek is a plodder. He's also not cheap.

Ricky Ledo from the Mavericks just got released for Amare. Wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him.

Fair enough. It would certainly be a risk. Like I said, it depends on the price for me. If it doesn't cost too much, I think his strength, inside scoring ability, and decent rebounding would all be big upgrades for us. I don't know much about how much of a black hole he may or may not be though. I do know that he's a poor defender, but so is Zaza, so the only concern I'd really have about it is if he's a massive black hole, and whether or not Kidd could snap him out of that.

There's also the fact he misses a chunk of game almost religiously every single year.

The whole intrigue of dragic here IMO would be playing him and knight together. Maybe that can take the team to an even higher level. Don't see a dragic trade being worth it otherwise.

Pek is playing on one leg.

No interest in taking on his deal unless the Twolves were taking Larry or Ersan.

Can we trade for David Lee so those damn Aussies will finally leave?

If you want rebounding and scoring with no defense, you could get David Lee for Ersan/JOB.

No way would I offer a 23-year-old RFA Knight AND a pick for a Dragic rental.

He lasted longer than Nate Wolters. Bucks were wrong again.
