Thought about Reggie and what happened to him...Wicks was a gamble that didn't pay off....but come to think of it...he played later for whoever he was traded to...had to retire in a Celtic uniform...right?

Has to be a Celtic scorer who retired rather early, one would think?

Pete Maravich?

Following the Pete Maravich line of reasoning, it might be someone like Tiny Archibald or Dave Bing. I think both ended their careers with the C's, but I'm not sure either scored enough career points to qualify.

And we have a winner...Its Dave Bing. In 1977/78 scored 21, 21 and 24 points in last 3 games. Halle of Fame player, TOP 50 player. Showed a lots of class...Because that was Havlicek farewell tour, Bing didn't announced retirement...he didn't wanna stole any of Hondo's thunder. Havlicek and Bing played last games of their great career as teammates and each scored 20+ points in last 3 games.

And NCAA championchips teams with multiple Celtics players
1947 Holy Cross: George Kaftan, Joe Mullaney and Bob Cousy
1951 Kentucky: Frank Ramsey and Lou Tsioropoulos
1955 San Francisco: Bill Russell and KC Jones
1960 Ohio State: John Havlicek and Larry Siegfried
1962 Cincinatti: Tom Thacker and Ron Bonham
1969, 1970 and 1971 UCLA: Sidney Wicks and Curtis Rowe
1996 Kentucky: Antoine Walker, Tony Delk, Ron Mercer, Walter McCarty and Wayne Turner

And the question: Which former Celtics is responsible for only quadruple double in NCAA D1 history?

Ed Pinkney wrote:Dee Brown - Dunk Contest
Larry Bird - 3 Point Contest (possibly twice?)
Paul Pierce - 3 Point Contest

And I can't remember if Gerald Green won the dunk contest before or after the Garnett trade.

Good job. I don't have any other examples in mind.

My name is Davor. I'm from Croatia, land of hopefully next Celtic great Mario Hezonja.
Celtics fan from 1986., activ on celticsblog...here i was just reading...
I'm former journalist in croatia basketball magazine and basketball historyan...
I saw that a lot of you guys think that the most future NBA head coaches on same Celtics team was 6.
Its wrong. The correct answer is 7.
1984/85 Celtics: Danny Ainge, Larry Bird, Quinn Bucknerr, Rick Carlisle, ML Carr, Dennis Johnson and Kevin McHale
Numerous Celtics team had a 6 head coaches. But two more had a 6,5 :)
1960/61 Celtics: Bob Cousy, Tom Heinsohn, KC Jones, Bill Russell, Tom Sanders, Bill Sharman + Frank Ramsey (ABA coach, finals in 1971.)
1961/62 Celtics:- replace retired Bill Sharman with Carl Braun...so these two teams had a 6 NBA and a ABA head coach.
Hello to all Celtics fans around the World.

Well done, Sir! Your historical knowledge is magnificent!

I quite forgot about Quinn Buckner. Carl Braun -- who I'll admit to basically never having heard of before -- is however excluded on the slimmest of technicalities: I specified "future" head coaches. :) And you actually missed one of my groups of 6, namely the one in which M. L. Carr -- and Quinn Buckner :) -- were replaced by Sam Vincent.

There's one guy, however, who even you seem to be forgetting -- Sam Vincent. :)

And from that 1951 team -- Cliff Hagan was ALMOST a Celtic. :)
