Just about every single one of these deals discussed won't happen. What do you suggest, no discussion?

I want trades that could actually, realistically happen. Not "Lets trade for player A because said team has made player A available."

To be fair, there has been a sizable amount of discussion about realistic deals. We've beaten most of them to death as we've known most of them for awhile now. The only real new name that popped up in connection with the Bucks is Taj Gibson.

we need to go all in for this guy. its making me mad a 28 yo all nba pg is available and were discussing the merits of whether wed even want him or not. the suns are asking for a lanier package. its peanuts.

You realize the Bucks can offer him a great deal in off-season, right? The trade would be just for the play-offs. Dragic would be a great addition for a team like Rockets which target the Championship THIS season..

if we are only allowed to offer a 4 year max we will get outbid because of our market.

if we offer the 5 year max... hes ours.

The five-year bird rights max you're talking about is around 5/$125M and pays him $26M in his 32/33 yo season and $28M in his 33/34 yo season. Are you really confident he's worth that? I'm not against spending money on established players but if that's a bad contract when Giannis and Jabari are entering their primes it would be quite a detriment to this team. Not to mention we'd give up fairly significant assets just for the chance to offer him that contract.

We need to find the next Dragic, and not overpay the current one on his second payday contract into his 30's.

We should trade for Jennings and see if he puts it all together.

I'd see what the Rockets want for Canaan.

Certainly seemed like nonsense.

His age needs some context. Dragic played under 20mpg over his first three seasons. Didn't hit 30mpg until he was 26 years old. Some players by that same age not only have way more regular season minutes on their legs, if on really good teams they could also have a bunch of playoff minutes on their legs. So even though Dragic is 28, he's a young 28 in terms of mileage on his body.

I know there is zero chance that the Bucks will trade for Dragic, but hypothetically depending on what was required in return and if the team felt there was a pretty good chance they could resign him, i wouldn't be against it. I'd rather be paying him good money going forward to be the Bucks starting PG the next 4-5 years than Knight at good money.

Remember when the Warriors wanted to trade us Curry for Bogut and we opted for Ellis instead? Oh the good old days. Hopefully passing on Stauskas won't be painful.

If Dragic was a leaper I'd be concerned about his age, but he's not. Remember that Nash had his MVP seasons in his early 30s.

Like I said, if Ersan for Thompson/Stauskas was on the table, and we didn't do it, then we're dumb as ****.

The only thing that really concerns me about Dragic is how taken out of his game he has been this season, he hasn't looked nearly as effective and whether or that is entirely IT's faut I dunno. I wouldn't trade for him tho, if we want him we should sign him in the offseason.

im done tanking for all nba players. I think the team is too. whats your plan?

and btw...was trading for lanier instead of the next lanier a bad move? how about the move for Oscar instead of the next Oscar? the real cassell instead of the next cassell? every decent team weve ever had popped because a move like this.

dragic is not just some "solid" player. hes a final piece to make us legit permanently kind of guy. sure its a joe Johnson max kind of deal instead of a LeBron/ nowitski/ Durant kind of max....but if giannis and Jabari stay healthy wed have our first real shot in 30 years.

Wow, I know they have Embiid but didn't think they'd realistically even think about trading Noel at this point. I'd be pissed if we didn't at least ask what we could give for him.

I've been saying that I think Noel will become attainable. Not that they are actively shopping him but that they'd move him - especially depending on how June turns out for them. Their only untouchable asset is Embiid.

Man... Noel would be perfect for this team. I'd imagine they'd want a kings ransome.
