Ron Artest made his song "Champion" the offseason he won the title. Webster just hasn't been healthy or at least as healthy as he was when he got that big contract.

Martell is talented. He's legitimately good. I don't care for rap but the guy seems to be a good rapper. Compare him to old school LL Cool J and I defy you to say LL sounds better. He doesn't IMO.

The only part about the video I didn't care for is the guy at 1:30. Odd and kind of awkward to me.

Artest actually made the song way before the Lakers won in 2010. He uses an audio clip from Kobe after the 2009 NBA Finals. :lol:

The beat is very nice.

Pacific Northwest scenery is a great backdrop for the video.

Martell ain't half bad.

Damian Lillard is the best rapper in the NBA though. Kid is Oakland ill.

I am not going to blame Martell for cultivating other projects, especially given he had more time with surgery/recovery. Okay rhymes, content and flow. I'm a little surprised he used the n-word. I think Martell's second verse is stronger. Lol at his rap partner's vintage Michael Bolton hair, but don't judge a book - he sounds a'ight. I dig the production - laid-back jazzy 90s-like Hip Hop samples remind me of beats from Seattle underground Hip Hop groups Blue Scholars & Boom Bap Project. Vibe of the lyrics & video reminiscent of early nineties mystical/hippy rap duo P.M. Dawn.
