But who is @Mattisaghost? More than likely a guy who is just reading tea leaves (Bucks willing to trade Ersan, Bucks having interest in Kanter, Kanter being on the block).

To all those here who are chastising the Jackson trade, please keep in mind that many of us here were saying the same things about Bayless, Dudley, Mayo, ad Knight prior to this year. ALL have played above what we ALL expected...thanks to Kidd and Co. So, with that said, history is showing that Jackson will also play above his current presentations under the leadership of Kidd and Co.

I'd be OK with it if it was the Clips first, but not ours.

It would have to be yours. We would be taking money off your books and giving you a superior player.

My guess is Phoenix would be getting Beverly back in a trade for Dragic.

Then call PHX and get your choosing of Beverley or Thomas.

Same. If it's our own, you have to really hope the staff can get Kanter to take a serious leap on defense and with regards to ball movement. The last thing the Bucks need is another black hole.

You'd think the Jazz could do better than Ersan and the Clippers 1st. I'd fear that this is our 1st or I don't see the Jazz doing it.

I'll pass then. Kanter is a middling efficiency, poor defending, poor passing big.

Ehhh, I don't hate it for the Jazz. I mean, I really don't want to re-sign him at all, so a decent 1st round (Bucks going to be like 16th-20th, right?) is nice.

I just hope the Jazz really **** y'all over and offer Middleton 48/4 over the off-season.

He will be chucking up a damn storm, I can almost promise it.

If he makes his shots, then I'll be ok with it. This team can use some more offense.

Yet he is more talented than anyone you will pick in the upcoming draft in that range. He is also more talented than everyone on your roster outside of Giannis and Jabari. Got to risk it to get the biscuit.

I agree, but the Jazz will lose Kanter for nothing otherwise. I think they could find a better deal then Ersan and the Clippers 1st but don't act like you can keep this 'superior' player. You either trade him now or lose him for nothing.

I think the Jackson thing is pretty clear;

IF the bucks were to offer Utah Knight <> Kanter type swap, a secondary deal to bring in Jackson to play the Knight role would make some sense. It would probably be Perkins, Jackson, one other guy for ZaZa and whatever to clear them from tax.

That would be my guess, and explain why we would even be in Jackson discussions, well other than if OKC is just looking to straight dump salary for a TPE/2nd kind of thing.

Jackson is not better than Knight unless running a PnR is literally the only thing you use to evaluate players. That and turnovers are probably the only two things he does better.

better pnr and iso. I don't know whats wrong with 82games.com but typically the Thunder have been statistically better defensively with Reggie Jackson at Point than with Russell Westbrook. Knight is a better 3pt shooter. Personally I think they are very similar athletically.
