There's no D in Mclemore being a 3&D player. There's barely a 3. Lol

I'd like McLemore because he has a lot more upside as a quality 3+D guy, he really could be a Hendo with range. Stauskas, meh. We could use the shooting but he's a bit slow IMO.

I agree that McLemore would be a decent target but I am not sure how much better a defender he will be than Nik who is longer and put up better agility combine numbers. Now I do think McLemore is more explosive vertically than Nik and they may help him get his shots off easier.

I don't really care about combine agility numbers, I don't think they're translatable. Most athletes can train for those tests and do well in them. Watching Stauskas play defense is just reminiscent enough of Jimmer to be worrying. I think both McL and Stauskas would look a lot better in an offense where the ball moves though.

I agree but that has to call McL work ethic into question if he got smoked by a guy who you assume is way worse. I don't think either is a stopper in the long run. I think McL is the better scorer but Nik has the ability to be the better all around player with his vision. It will be interesting to see if either becomes even a half way decent defender.

Supposedly the Nets are broadcasting the Pistons interest in Joe Johnson now.

The only thing it calls into question is whether he hired the right agent and trainer. I really think those drills are pretty close to being worthless. I haven't seen one basketball game where a player had to run around cones and through flashing lights.

Bottom line for me is Mark Price working with McLemore is a lot more enticing than Mark Price working with Stauskas.

If we trade for McLemore we might as well trade Jefferson and/or Kemba because McLemore isn't on any playoff team's rotation for the next 3 years.

He's the next Martell Webster, and that's his ceiling. Pass.

McLemore would be around for exciting dunks but that is about it.

I liked Stauskas but didn't want him for us this draft and I expected him to struggle translating his game to the NBA but damn he stinking it up. Lol. He looking worse than Mclemore did as a rookie. Stauskas is the next Jimmer.

 We should start hearing about trades now...I suspect Lance and a couple of other Hornets will be on a plane headed somewhere else soon. I suspect if Cho can get Johnson by trading Lance and role players it will go down fairly quickly. If Not then we will make a deal with another team in the last hour before the deadline. For some reason I still think the 3 way with OKC is still in play.

I doubt it, he just needs to get his head on straight on work on his conditioning. He has the size and skill to make it in this league. Jimmer never had the handles or size to get his shot off in the NBA, Stauskas does. Sacramento is where careers for everyone but Cousins go to die. The fact that Boogie has been able to play so well there is a testament to how damn good he is. The league will be better off when finally goes to a competent franchise.

I hope so...

Brooklyn could get Reggie Jackson & Lance Stephenson for Brook Lopez in their rebuild

CHA get: Kendrick Perkins (expiring; buyout), Jeremy Lamb

BKN get: Reggie Jackson, Lance Stephenson

OKC get: Brook Lopez, Jeff Taylor

Probably the best hope we'll have to dump Stephenson without having to attach anything of value to him. Also, it would prevent us from possibly having to waive him while continuing to pay him like the Pistons did Josh Smith

:banghead:   Well Lance is still here and the deadline has passed. Something must have been up because Seiko Smith is down at TWC and Hendo asked him when coming in for practice, "What are you doing here? Cho evidently could not get any value for Lance. Even thou we got Mo earilier which was a good deal, the trades Miami,Detroit and Milwaukee made today.I'm thinking Miami for sure and possibly Detroit can catch us pushing us out of the playoffs. Lance is really going to have to "show his stuff" for us to make it.
It will be interesting if anything leaks as to what we tried and why it didn't work. :noway:
