That's my thoughts.

Last year Bled/Dragic crushed it together.

More ball-handling, the front office enforcing they want him there long term and a max offer will surely smooth over the trust issues he's brought up?

I'd give him $85m over 5, less annually but an extra year/$5m than the Lakers can offer.

Call his bluff essentially.

That limited the teams right there. Him giving a list of 10 teams and then leaking all that info up, opened the opportunity to some teams who thought they didnt stand a chance at getting him. With Dragic value being so low now, every team has a shot. He f**ked us to drop his value and force our hand at trading him.

But by dropping his trade value, he is risking not getting traded at all. Which, at this point especially, would be terrible for him.

If they wanted to force a trade, they should have just given us the list of teams and said, there is 0% chance we are re-signing here, so either figure out a trade or you'll end up getting nothing. This would force us to trade him before the deadline, even if it meant taking scraps in the waning hours before the deadline.

I don't see any benefit whatsoever to them leaking anything to the media. Again, if the Suns were told he was absolutely not re-signing, they would eventually open all avenues to get some trade done.

His value hasn't dropped. I'm not saying we will get a ton for him, but we wouldn't have anyway. Now that this list of teams is convinced he would want to play there and would stay, they are likely to give up more in a bidding war, not less, since they feel he would like to play there and would re-sign.

The Rondo package and what Ainge got for him has me slightly worried if we do end up moving him...

This should be a lesson for those of you who thought/believed dragic "enjoyed" playing with bledsoe. Never believe any lip service professional sports players give the media. Believe what your eyes tell you.

Goran was happiest when bledsoe was hurt and that's when Goran was the "lone" man at point.

Bledsoe and dragic didn't "crush it" last year. The Suns won 48 games. That's 7 games over .500. Not exactly "crushing it". The combo worked decently but it wasn't great.

I'm sure Starsky liked it when Hutch was out, but their record TOGETHER shows they compliment each other.

With both guys they were like 65% winning weren't they? so without Bled and Dragic they were an inferior product...

I'm still shocked teams are lining up to give Goran 20 mil a yr. That seems really high for a one way player (gorans a bad defender).

What are you nodding about? Deuce doesn't even realize that the two weren't together the whole season, by using the full season win stats instead of the record they had together.

I still don't get Goran's thoughts. Any team that is a contender, already has a primary ball handler. So either he is a complete moron, or he is just done with the Suns, and throwing excuses. The desire to be a Knick or Laker makes zero sense for contenders as well, although it does work with the market thought.

In a way, I understand him wanting a bigger market though. He knows that there he will actually get respect from the refs that he doesn't get here.

I copy and pasted your last two posts on the Celtics board (removed your name). Let me know if you want me to take them down, not a problem.

Larry is being underutilized yet still staying. That's my dude right there...

You gotta love Larry. Him and Steve Nash the most likeable athletes the valley has seen in the last 20 years.

Now if we can get Carson back healthy, get Jonathan Cooper producing as he should at LG PLEASE GET RID OF PAUL FANAIKA HE'S HORRIBLE at RG, upgrade the center spot (Stefan Wisnewski is a free agent center from the raiders) and draft an RB (Melvin Gordon maybe?) get an offense to compliment our defense, get Daryl Washington back hopefully he regains form we can contend!

Trade him to the Raptors, and have him play behind Lowry again.

Players are people, with feelings and they want to have a rol and see themselves like an important part of the team. McDonough thought that they were "assets ", happy to be on the bench waiting to be traded for an Star. It si not working that way.
We have too many good players or prospects players, we have to cut our roster or have real bench players at the end of the bench (ala Burke or Shavlik ) because players like Goodwin or Bullock will be unhappy very soon.
Isaiah Thomas signing was an asset...and it was a clear and epic fail.

Yeah, I never blame players for doing what they want to do. If I were in a job I really liked, did a great job, won an award for the job I did, and then the company decided to hire someone which changed my job dramatically in a way I didn't like, and I found out a lot of other companies really wanted my services and to hire me, I would think long and hard about it, and probably likely move on.

But I never blame players for doing what is best for them, whether it was Nash, Bledsoe or Dragic.

The one that hurt me the most was McDyess back in the day...can't remember if I blamed him personally, but of course he went out for the season with an injury shortly after moving on to Denver and by the time he regained form he was in NY and ended up being part of the Marbury trade and came back.

Makes sense.....the Boston connection....their boatload of picks, plenty of bigs, defensive guards, etc.

I think there is some diplomacy being used here. Dragic isn't pointing a finger at bledsoe, he is jabbing the FO's system. He didn't throw IT under the Bus... he just said what all three of them prefer... to be the starting PG and to have a conventional line up.
