WHY did the suns sign Thomas? Or more simplistic, why did the suns feel the need to sign another PG? Maybe Thomas wasnt the right PG to sign, but at the time, the suns had NO IDEA what Bledsoe was thinking. They made a move based on the possibility of Bledsoe taking his QO

Yes, it was a terrible move.

IT helped the Suns win games this season. It's not McDonough's or IT's fault that Dragic is such a selfish prick.

Goran was happiest when bledsoe was hurt and that's when Goran was the "lone" man at point.

I think there is some diplomacy being used here. Dragic isn't pointing a finger at bledsoe, he is jabbing the FO's system. He didn't throw IT under the Bus... he just said what all three of them prefer... to be the starting PG and to have a conventional line up.

Well there is one way to look at. Thank you for the good response. Always enjoy your posts! We just need to get what we can at this point.

Does nothing but reinforce the suspicion that Bledsoe was the wrong person to lay that big contract on; all stats, too much ego and no w / l delivery.

Find out soon enough.

Bledsoe is a beast who's already showing tons of improvement in last two years...and much better than Dragic was at his age - give me Bledsoe at $14m/yr all day over Dragic at $20m/yr. I love Dragic, but signing Bled was the right thing to do

Yes, obviously had to sign Bledsoe. If Dragic doesn't want to play with him. Fine, trade him. It did appear he didn't mind playing with him last year and that he was happy then and unhappy in a reduced role this year. Not having Frye probably didn't help. Hopefully we get a reasonable deal.

Its this F-d bullchip system. The 2PG then 3PG. Sold to us, the players as if it is the magical carpet ride to success. All the while masking the true agenda of accumulating assets for future trades.

You're kidding right? Dragic? The selfish prick LOL have you WATCHED IT AND BLEDSOE play. Have you watched Gerald Green and the morris brothers?

Come on Goran is the best floor general we have yet we're playing him at the 2 guard position.

we brought in a plethora of guards, we mitigated his role, his touches, Goran has to overcompensate on the floor and pass when he can to get the team in rhythm.

If you want to blame anyone blame the front office for creating this mess and blame IT for having an inferiority complex and always having to shoot the ball when him and Dragic are on the court together

I'm happy the front office chose Bledsoe over Goran. My only gripe with McD is he should have saw this coming and traded Goran before getting painted into a corner like this.

If we should be mad at anyone we should be mad at Goran's agent for leaking this news killing our leverage and forcing us to sell Goran for 30 cents on the dollar.

The only player I would be ok getting back in Julius Randle but that's a long shot.

I say keep Dragic sell off IT and Green and convince him to stay and offer him 14M a year

To really take the market by surprise, you use Bledsoe and IT as trade bait now for a real player. Cousins, Love, Harris++, and stick with Goran at the point. If Goran still leaves then you have one star still, mountains of caps pace and will have shown every other player and FA to be that PHX is serious about winning. That will help PHX save face, get decent players and remain competitive. You may give up some longer term viability but if we ink Dragic at $20 as the only bh (yes that's too much)and rebalance the salary towards the front line by using Bledsoe you still give yourself a shot with Free Agents this summer when the cap looks like it will go up significantly.

You seem to be the most pissed at all with Dragic. I didn't even think you were a big fan of his, always trying to demonstrate that IT is better. Figured you might be kind of happy with this.

Like leaking that he didn't like playing with Bledsoe so FO can save face when he perhaps didn't mind playing with him at all?

Asking for a trade when your team is in the middle of a playoff push is extremely selfish.

SF88 wrote:To everyone that's saying "Goran's selfish, see its been reported that wants to leave PHX even if we traded IT so Goran doesn't like playing with Bledsoe either, here's some news for you:

The Suns, who traded Dragic in 2011, traded for Bledsoe in 2013 when he was one of the most-sought trade commodities and created a dual-playmaker backcourt. Dragic thrived when Bledsoe missed half of the season and they ultimately found chemistry for a 48-win season.

Dragic was content in that set-up but the addition of another starting-quality point guard in Thomas has put Dragic almost exclusively off the ball no matter if Thomas or Bledsoe are paired with him or if the Suns are in a three-point-guard lineup.

Even if the Suns traded Thomas, Dragic's mind appears to be set on leaving Phoenix in July free agency. A change of heart has not been ruled out but is portrayed as doubtful because Dragic's camp considers the perceived breach of trust to be irrevocable.

http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/n ... /23595011/

So PLEASE quit with the BS that Dragic doesn't like playing with Bledsoe or whatever. Paul Coro is closer to the team than any of you and anyone else in the media. Take his word over anyone else's 10 times out of 10.

Dragic lost the trust in the FO after the FO went and rewarded him for his excellent play from last season by signing and drafting every PG in sight.

I read the same article as you.

You ignored the part where Coro finishes the article by saying Goran wants to run his own team.

I'm not happy about this. I just don't think you can put the blame 100% on the FO and the IT signing. Goran wants to get the most money he can this summer since he's never had a big contract, and he knows that Phoenix isn't going to pay him $20 million. That probably has a lot to do with it.

Plus, he's caught the "big market" bug, if you look at him wanting to play for absolutely crappy teams in New York and LA.

Dragic is my very favorite player in the league, but let's not turn him into a martyr here. He's doing what's best for Goran Dragic, and good on him for doing so(but seriously, Bill Duffy sucks). Now the Suns have to do what's best for them.

We were never getting more than 30 cents on the dollar with his impending free agency. I think now that some teams know a list of teams he would be happy to go to, they may give up more than they would have since they now know he would be happy there and they would have bird rights.

Not to be a dick but those of you who say keep Goran and try to convince him to stay are crazy. At this point bridges are burnt and suns need to get what they can. Goran being on this team come Friday is a bad locker room situation and he'd probably get booed by a home suns crowd. Also to those who want to nor trade him are you cool giving him 5 yr 100 mil?

I'm happy to see him gone. Wouldn't mind IT trade either. What I'm most upset about is him going full Melo/Dwight/Love on the Suns.

Fits everything that Coro, Amick and Woj have said.

However frustrated Dragic was/is about Thomas, this looks like it's partially a Joe Johnson redux...Dragic wants brighter lights, more money, and to be "THE MAN".
