Bascially, what's an opinion you have that you know a lot of people on here disagree with?

Personally, I like Channing Frye.

I think we overhype Aaron Gordon but he's still a rookie so BELIEVE THE HYPE!

I think Harris has reached his ceiling.
Skiles should be hired.
Hark is better than advertised and we're using him wrong.
Frye isn't being utilized correctly.

I have a few....

That Hennigan has zero business being a GM and that we are going nowhere as long as he is at the helm.

Vucevic puts up emptier numbers than Kevin Love did.

I'd still trade him for DeAndre Jordan.

Elfrid Payton has a chance to be very good in the future, but he is currently a worse pg than Oladipo is. And it's not really close.

- I like Harkless over Tobias (*ducks from thrown objects*). I understand what Tobes bring to the table, but just prefer Moe over him.
- Since last season, I've been saying Dedmon will make KOQ expendable this off-season. However, KOQ's leadership is invaluable. we'll see what happens cause we'll have to pay one this year or next.
- Nicholson sucks.
- AG should be our starting SF
- Fournier is our Ginobli and i hope he spends his whole career with us

This is correct. Though I will say that I think Elfrid shows much better when Dipo is not on the floor with him. Still fairly brutal offensively though.

I am not sure Victor Oladipo is the long-term answer at shooting guard.

Some others..........

- I would not give up on Harkless yet. I'd like to see if a new coach could turn him around. Given his low salary, it's worth a shot rather than throwing him away for cheap.

- Tobias Harris is unlikely to be re-signed. I think he is more of a 4/3 sixth man and The Magic will let him go so they can find a better fit.

- I do not think there will be enough money to re-sign Kyle O'Quinn.

- Even though I like Elfrid Payton, I still hate how they gave in to Philly's extortion and gave up that pick from the Bynum deal that could have been mid-first round AND this year's 2nd to move up two spots. I hate when people say it was a good deal for both and let's be happy.. No, it wasn't. The Magic got extorted.

I'm not willing to give up on Harkless, I think he has a higher upside than Gordon but needs to be able to work through his mistakes. We Never gave him a chance.

Ditto with Nicholson, never given an opportunity work to through the growing pains.

I'm not convinced Oladipo is the SG we can win a championship with, especially if Payton is also in the backcourt. Of the two I'd rather keep Payton.

Not sold on Gordon.

I agree with all of these except Skiles, although I wouldn't be pissed if he's hired. He's probably like 4th on my list though.

As for Harris, I definitely agree, and also feel he isn't as good as he looks with the Magic. Put him on a better team where he can't jack up any shot he wants, and he's going to struggle. This is the main reason I don't want to overpay him and would rather trade him at the deadline. He's still a good player, but I don't ever see him becoming great and worthy of so much money.

I do question his motivation, but I do feel Harkless is better than he looks right now, and is the product of poor coaching and the inability to use him correctly. I bet he turns into a solid bench player under a good coach.

And finally, Frye definitely is being utilized wrong. His defense and defensive effort still sucks, but he should be a much better and more effective player on offense then he is, and I blame that on coaching. I mean all you have to do is watch him being used with the Suns and then watch one of the Magic games and this is painfully obvious.

Mine are:

-To continue to tank, even for just these last bit of the season, isn't as good of an idea as some people think. We should be developing the players we have first and foremost, and worrying about the draft secondly. I rather draft between 4-8 and develop our players over getting a top 3 pick.

-I think you can win a championship with Vuc at Center, and that his lack of shot blocking and amazing defense isn't the end of the world. Though, I do think he needs to improve, and I believe he will.

-Harris should be traded by tomorrow, as well as KO.

-I am cheering for JB and hope he does well enough to really get a shot at being hired in the offseason as head coach. I'm not sure if that's unpopular but I think most people have written him off and don't even think about him when considering coaches to hire.

Return to Orlando Magic
