He gets to the line 3 times per 36. He's not a great penetrator/finisher. He also shoots 28% from 3, and has a lower AST% than Knight as well. He does limit turnovers better, but he's really an unspectacular player overall.

I'm actually 100% sold on Knight as our long-term PG if he is willing to defer to Jabari and Giannis once they are ready to be the primary ball handlers. Knight can space the floor, he can create shots late in the clock, he can defend, he can handle the ball just fine and in that role he should reduce his turnovers just by having the ball much less than he does now. He's ideal in that type of role.

The problem would be if he doesn't want to defer and/or the coaching staff thinks it's ideal for him to remain our primary ball handler/shot creator.

For a guy that will be a RFA this offseason, Utah isn't going to resign him. If we want Kanter, let this play out and get him way cheaper. We don't need this guy to still be the 6th seed this year.

If this is like any other deadline then we are going to hear a report that we have acquired Kanter. We will have some initial excitement thinking that we traded Ersan and hoping that it is the LAC 1st instead of our own. Then we find out that we traded Middleton or something crazy and a 1st. Please let these nightmares of the Kohl era be over.

Oh... and also that we get him on a contract that isn't insane. No way I'd max Knight... even though I'm starting to think that's what is going to happen.

I think Henson and the Clips 1st for Kanter has already been agreed upon FWIW, both teams waiting to announce it in case something better comes around.

If I was the Bucks, I would stay away from anybody with the initials RJ forever

bad experience

The guy is a FA this offseason too, not only are we going to have to give up value we would have to pay this turd probably 10m+ to keep him and we're probably going to resign Knight too. Locking up career losers, we will stay a loser forever with this mindset.

I realize many here don't want this scenario, but this does work now if Utah and OKC went along with these deals. It fits DB's concept of loading up on RFA's and letting the market set their value lower than what we'll be paying for similar talent in 2016.

Ersan and Bucks 2016 lotto protected pick for Kanter

2017 Clips pick/2015 Bucks 2nd for Jackson/Lamb (gets OKC out of lux tax)

Kenyon moves into assistant coaching slot to clear roster space or JOB cut/dealt.

That sounds about right. No way did I think we could dump Ersan AND acquire an asset. Is this legit info or just your speculation?

If you max Knight next year, though, it will be a market value contract when the big $ boom comes in in 2016.

Yep. I'm kinda neutral if it's Ersan and the clips first. Henson can actually help us arguably more than Kanter. Stupid if true.

Reggie Jackson has also played in 30 playoff games (13 as a starter) with a .582ts%

If the Jazz want a young player and a 1st and they need a wing - Would D.I./Clippers 1st work?

Yeah, I don't really care about that and I still wouldn't pay guys based on 2016. I think Knight is probably worth around $10 million. If Kidd is convinced that he can continue to mold him, get him to protect the ball more and improve his decision making then I'd probably go up to something like $12.5 million. No way I'd go beyond that though.

I just have a feeling someone is going to give him a max offer sheet now. Not sure who, but the hype train seems to be rolling for Knight around the league.

Why would you attach Reggie Jackson's stats as a starter to this quote??

Bucks were trying to trade up to 20 to grab Inglis because a few teams were looking at him. Think the Bucks value Inglis very high atm.

Henson is a better player than Kanter and cheap for an extra year.

Someone asked for his stats with Westbrook out and I clicked that post, so not sure why yours came up saying that. Did you change your post? Otherwise it was a bug with RGM, my bad.
