Please don't tell me you think the Bucks are trading Middleton.

Not for Jackson

Bruh. Come on, Bruh. Don't play that game, Bruh.

Kanter isn't a rental and the 1st round pick is low.

You either get Kanter for an extra cheap year at $7 million next year or he forces himself into RFA and you can sign him to a cheap deal before the 2016 boom or S&T.

we don't know the deal

why give up any assets at all for a guy you can get in the offseason?

I don't see anywhere Kanter gets under 10m

Again, $10 million/year is a steal once the 2016 salary cap rolls around. I can't fully argue for his fit on the team, but if you're talking about a player of his caliber on the open market, the cap is going to increase by 50% and his contract is then a deal.

"a guy you can get in the offseason" is not entirely true. He could take the QO. If he's on the Bucks and does not take the QO, you can also work a S&T with somebody else.

Maybe in that scenario Knight becomes the super sub. We could only hope.

The Middleton thread would make the Tobes thread look like a childrens book.

We aren't trading Middleton. At least I hope.

I'd be terrified of this board if we trade Middleton. Easily could be the prelude to World War 3.

but he won't, Kanter has publicly said he wants out of Utah and has never wanted to play there

I'm not committing long term to guys that are not winning players, a guy that can't/won't pass and can't play defense isn't a winning player and never will be. This guy isn't going to seamlessly fit into a role on this team. How is going to help us win this season? Realistically what is the upside to trading for this guy this season? It makes no sense to me, we're going to commit 8 figures to a guy who has done nothing but shown he is a bad player in this league thus far, FML. Rather bring back Gooden, at least he can pass.

No kidding. I can't even think of a realistic player that we could get for Middleton that wouldn't make us irate.

This can't be stressed enough.

It's one thing to give up a pick in the 20s and Ersan or Mayo or Bayless. It's another thing entirely to give up a better, cheeper player who plays the same **** position.

I don't believe Henson is better than Kanter, I mean we saw them go head-to-head. That said, Kanter isn't much of an upgrade and he's a RFA so I don't see the point.

if we want a rental, at least target Dragic

at least he could possibly help us win a playoff series

Kanter and RJ are net negative players

Depends on who is coming back.

If Exum gets off that plane then 2/3rds of the Australia contingent that bailed for the GSW board will return quickly.

I'm not going to argue against your paragraph against fit. A lot of people on this board have a better idea of that than I do so I will agree with you there. I guess you do have the option of flipping him again or he could actually learn to play as he ages.

All I was saying is that you enter yourself into a good chance of either being able to flip him again for value or sign him to a below-market value contract.

How does H2H box score stats mean anything when comparing players impact on wins?

20.2ppg, 7.8apg, 5.2rpg, 0.9spg, 3.3tpg.....Shot 42% overall and 27% from 3, 85% at the line.

If this guy really does work for/with the Bucks or have inside information, it's coming from, uhh, Dwight Schrute. Leif Erikson.

We have seen what Kidd has done with what we have now. Why can't he do the same with anybody that comes in?
