I can't blame Dragic for trying to get the max and wanting to be the man.. I also don't blame the Suns since Eric Bledsoe is younger and has more of a ceiling ..

Overall, it's time for this 3 point guard system to end.. Get Bledsoe a true SG who can shoot and play defense( aaron Afflalo)

So it's not all IT's fault?

I'm shocked. SHOCKED.

I don't hate Afflalo, but he has not played well this year:
GP MPG FGM-FGA FG% 3PM-3PA 3P% FTM-FTA FT% RPG APG BLKPG STLPG PFPG TOPG PPG
2014-15 Regular Season 53 33.0 5.3-12.4 .428 1.5-4.6 .337 2.4-2.8 .841 3.4 1.9 0.1 0.6 2.0 1.6 14.5

33% from 3pt?
14.5 pts in 33min?
42.8% FG

...and basically no other meaningful stats. No gracias.

Yea, Im with you, Afflalo is not really appealing. There was a time he was a GREAT role player. Now he is just BLA!

Yea it's just a coincidence that wherever IT goes, drama follows. I mean it's not majority of Kings fans warned us about this or anything. It's not like drove Tyreke Evans out of town. It's not like he beefed with their best player Cousins or anything either.

Brian Shaw is taking that franchise to the ground. I don't think Afflalo's been put in the best position to succeed.

Bledsoe is a beast who's already showing tons of improvement in last two years...and much better than Dragic was at his age - give me Bledsoe at $14m/yr all day over Dragic at $20m/yr. I love Dragic, but signing Bled was the right thing to do
I disagree that Bledsoe over Dragic is such a slam dunk. Dragic is only 3 years older. He's a better shooter, passer, finisher, less turnover prone and more durable. He's proven he can play at a high level in the playoffs. He's also a more natural fit at his position. I'd rather build around Dragic than Bledsoe if convincing them to play together is a lost cause.

Almost 4 years older, but regardless...I agree better shooter & passer, and slightly less turnover prone. Do not agree on finisher or durability. Dragic's injuries were a big reason we missed the playoffs last year, and he's got way more mileage than Bled (int'l play?). Bledsoe is by far better at getting to the rim and drawing fouls. Oh ya, and that whole defense thing...

The guy who played 76 games and sprained an ankle is the reason they missed the playoffs. But the guy who played 43 coming off of multiple knee surgeries is more durable. Got it.

Indy trade Hill, Scola, Miles ,Mahinmi, top 5 protected first, and a second

For Plumlee, Dragic, Dragic, and Frye

Orlando trades Frye and Harris

For Hill, Scola, Bogdanovic, 2nd round pick via Indy and 2016 lottery protected 1st from Phoenix

Phoenix trades both Dragics, Plumlee, Bogdanovic and a lottery protected 2016 1st for Harris, Mahinmi, and Indiana's first

How about that?

Dude read what Traxxe, Ray Ray, and even Coro are saying. Dragic wants to run his own ship. He may have enjoyed last year, but he wants to be the guy. We can't offer that here, and we most likely won't pay him the money he wants.

I'm not vilifying him at all. I think the FO should have had a better pulse on where their "face of the franchise"'s head was at, because while I could have totally seen him leaving this summer, I never thought he'd publicly demand a trade at the deadline. We screwed up, but only in the sense that we expedited what is now more and more seeming like a departure that started brewing as soon as we told Goran, "Hey...we got Eric Bledsoe, which means you're gonna have to share the PG duties. That's fine with you, right?"

Nash didn't betray us when he left for the Lakers because we knew he was done. But he sure is betraying us now!

It really is amazing reading these posts. We have a 25 year old point guard, who plays good defense, is steadily improving on offense, and averages 17,6, and 5. Not to mention the fact, he is locked up on a nice long term deal, yet so many of you are absolutely freaking out at the idea of losing Dragic. Dragic is 29 years old, a bad defender, cannot hit free throws, and is not clutch at all. Add that to the fact that he wants a max contract, and I have no problem with him wanting to leave. I am actually happy because it keeps us from crippling our capspace on two combo guards. I would love for us to go after Wes Mathews in the offseason, but either way, I am stoked for Archie Goodwin to finally get some minutes.

Maybe we can finally rebuild the right way, focus on building a well balanced team that plays defense and rebounds the ball, instead of guard oriented run and gun.

Steve Nash was 29 when we acquired him.. just throwing that out there. Also - I'm not buying Hornaceck will play our young guys even with a gutted roster. Have to see it with my own eyes to believe it.

It's only IT's fault that he's short, angry and not really any good. If IT could succeed as a 15-20 min a night guy and be a microwave, he might be fine. But he is a player who anything short of 35 min a night will be a giant problem on a team. 5 ft 9 dudes cant be a focal point of an offense ever. I'm very sorry IT, that you were born with exceptional skills in a short ass body but reality is embrace being a 6th man of the year candidate every time and look to pass the ball with penetration that comes so easily for you and we might find a way to like you again.

Right now, all I want for IT is to go away. Maybe with Dragic traded IT will have an epiphany.

Yea in your dreams. Hornacek's probably been thinking of ways to justify starting IT at SG to the media. Goodwin will probably get like 5 mins now maybe.
