Teams look willing to throw around crazy money this summer. I bet knight gets 4 and 60 and middleton isn't too far behind with how teams value shooters.

How much do you think the Bucks would be willing to pay Middleton?

I think he is a great shooter, but he doesn't approach the volume of 3pt shots that the other elite 3pt shooters do. Do you think Middleton can start shooting 7 treys a game and maintain an above 40% average?

Do you think they will be able to sign both Knight and Middleton? I don't, I would prefer Middleton, but not sure the Bucks do, all it takes is one team to go overboard on an offer sheet and you are screwed, you get nothing.

I dont see why we woudnt, especially if larrys buyout saves us ~$9M. At this point i just want to get past the deadline without doing anything stupid and worry about stuff during the offseason

Plus they can maybe back load a deal if the cap truly blows up in a couple years.

Middleton is a swiss army knife. He isn't just a 3pt shooter. His defense may be better than his offense.

Giannis and Parker are the onyl guys id be upset if traded, anyone else can be traded, just hope its not a Kohl move...I trust Hammond though...just hope there is some kind of deal...at least trade ersan for a couple 2nd round picks...
Bucks fan since day one. Go Bucks!

I get your feeling, but we have basically given away Bogut and in a strange way Sanders for absolutely nothing, the thought of Knight and/or Middleton walking for absolutely nothing trumps a 1 and done in the playoffs this season, The Bucks will most likely be 1 and done in the playoffs this season if they make a deal or not. My biggest fear is that the Bucks end up over paying both of these guys, when Giannis is getting close to an extension.

The speculation is fun, but at the end of the day it is most likely nothing will happen anyway.

I honestly can't come up with any scenario where we lose Middleton for nothing.

Bingo - Swiss Army Knife is a good description. He's the Jack-of-Several-Trades and the Master-of-Several.

Kidd is targeting players who he fancies, even if they may not be good for the team. Enes and Reggie both have had trouble fitting in with their respective teams over their roles/involvement in the offense. So now, for the first time in a long time, we have a Bucks team that seems to genuinely like each other and enjoys playing with each other. I pray Kidd is smart enough to know not to f*ck with the chemistry like that.

I honestly don't want Kanter or RJ at any price, they're not good players will make this team worse. Giving up value for either would be insane.

I think Kidd has earned our trust. People this summer were saying the same crap about Jerryd Bayless and he's been a gem for the money. This ship is succeeding or sinking based on Jason Kidd. I'm ok with that.

And this is the first trade deadline in a long time where we are talking about bringing in guys to make the team better over the long haul and not wishing for needed tank trades. I'm enjoying the new era.

My last try.
Trade 1: Knight and clips pick (maybe more, Job3) for Lawson and Mcgee
Trade 2: Mayo and Ersan and maybe pick or 2 to SIxers for Jason Richardson and Krilenko Expirings.

We get PG and half-decent C and then just dump RIchardson and Krilenko.
Start next year with a bunch of cash and go out and spend it.

Kidd created the chemistry this team has, didn't he? So why would you doubt he knows what he is doing at this point?

Trade Targets (Trade Deadline less than 27 hours)

Still trying to think of players that I'd be okay with trading Middleton for that make sense.

It is pretty nice having Knight and Middleton as assets in place of Brandon Jennings.

I agree that it's great that we are trying to improve at the deadline for a change, I really do. However, I don't think Reggie Jackson and Enes Kanter are good fits on this team at all to be honest. We don't need to trade for more "me first" players to be better for the playoffs.

You are getting too worried about this Kanter thing.

For the Bucks to be a true contender, they still need to clean the clock of some team in a trade. Acquire a young guy with potential who then develops into an all-star on the Bucks, ala what the Suns did last year with Eric Bledsoe.

Is Kanter going to do that? Probably not, but he's got the potential to do it. So I'm fine if he's the best option to roll the dice on, because we need have a move like this hit to make the leap as a team.

Middleton will not be traded unless a bona fide All-Star or high 1st is coming back

So you are trying to get funding for a new arena, just starting to get some of the fan base a little interested and at least coming back to games on the weekend and you would like to pick up garbage and start over again next year....hmmmmmm don't see that happening.
