That would be a coup. Too bad Utah isn't dealing Exum not to match Middleton in FA.

He has the absolute lowest net production number of anyone in the entire NBA who was played at least 20 games and averaged at least 20 minutes per game. He's like several times as raw as Gianis was last season.

I didn't expect much from him, but wow. Still has nice tools, though. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a bust or a healthy Brandon Roy.

Giannis, Parker, Middleton, and Knight are the core... And probably in that order.

I believe the Bucks' brain trust sees it that way as well.

"Net production" is a new one. What does that entail?

There is not a single person here that should support a Kanter move based on how the board feels about Knight.

Yes please!

I think everyone here would do that

That's definitely not the case. I'd rather have Henson than Kanter, and I'd rather have Middleton and the Clips 1st than Exum.

He went from high school ball in Australia to the NBA. Dirk was a mess as a rookie going from Germany high school ball to the NBA too. They aren't trading Exum. He is highly valued.

Not sure if this was addressed between pages 178 & 280 (I was forced to skip ahead) but losing his Bird Rights wouldn't be hugely significant for a team like us that will be expected to be operating with significant cap space. If his bird rights would be attached, our cap space would be even further reduced prior to signing him due to a larger cap hit.

We would not have the advantage of being able to offer an additional year and a higher annual raise, compared to other teams, but that would also be the case if we didn't trade for him and pursued him as an unrestricted free agent.

It is his UFA status that is the biggest deterrent for me as far as being comfortable giving up significant value in a trade to acquire him

How much cap space did you anticipate us having prior to the Sanders buy out?

Agree, pretty sure he'd be my punching bag within a month.

Based on how the board feels about Knight, I'd expect a minority of posters to be pretty happy about getting Kanter.

Some scouts and analysts say he's two years away from being two years away.

They won't. It would be like trading Dirk his rookie year. I don't know why we spend so much time talking about trades that would never happen.

I probably wouldn't do Middleton for Exum straight up at this point.
