The most promising thing of any trade that occurs is that it may be a sign that Hammond actually has some juice. Funny to say that sentence but it's better to me than Kidd and/or LED making personnel moves, especially given Hammond's public comments over the last year.

Kind of makes the idea of Enes Kanter coming to/staying in Milwaukee a bit more logical from Kanter's side.

sign him in the offseason then

no assets should be given up

I don't necessarily disagree, just thought it was an interesting and unexpected wrinkle that his younger brother is presumably going to be at UW-GB for the next three years.

Whoever Giannis Parker's source is, and if it's legit, it's someone affiliated with Morway. And Morway needs to get the hell out of here.

All I would do if I were the Bucks is free up more cap space by trading Ersan or Mayo. None of the rumors sound good to me because we'll have to give up too much for players that aren't worth it at this point.

Nothing. They wanna package him with Ross for a star, so something we don't have and/or aren't willing to give up. IMO, Boston is the only one who could put something together for him. Sullinger, who wouldn't be a huge drop-off, and a couple 1st round picks would be the only thing Toronto bites on. Nobody's trading a star at the deadline.

We very well might not have enough to get him but even if your post you show how Toronto's line might be posturing.

Unless the Raptors were making a play for Dragic I don't see why anyone involved would float a JV / Ross package for a star. What other stars might be available this deadline?

Can we stop with the family connections? Theses guys are professional athletes who have moved across the world and we expect a younger sibling playing low D-1 ball in the area to have any kind of impact? I wouldn't be surprised if the guy didn't even make it to UWGB or transferred after a year.

Dammit! Why the sudden interest for Kanter? I kind of understanding if we trade Ersan (we get rid a contract from next year's paycheck and we test Kanter's adjustment into Kidd's system in order to offer him a contract in off-season), but that and only that. No Henson, no Mayo, no bloody Khris in this deal!!! :nonono: Wtf?? And I would rather try a better deal for Ersan (like Stauskas). :banghead:
No hay banda.

WHEN IS THE FIRST DOMINO GOING TO FALL?! Two fairly high profile players have requested trades... About time for some action.

Yeah, nobody's ever wanted to be closer to their family. What a crazy concept that is.

Haven't liked any of the rumors we've been linked to other than acquiring Taj and/or dumping Ersan.

Hard to believe Dragic would be any more happy in Toronto playing alongside Lowry than he is in Phoenix. And as I said, I don't think there's a single star available at the deadline. The only team I could see them trying to lure into something is Detroit for Drummond/Monroe, but neither are a huge upgrade, if any, over JV.

I think any rumor the Toronto FO leaked out is simply something any basketball guy can see - they need a higher caliber big man to team up with Lowry/Derozan if they want to do something in the playoffs. Of course, if I was running Toronto, I'd be offering up Demar/JV and then maybe you could get somewhere. But the problem remains, there just isn't any player out there that's gonna make them budge.

No, but both of these players have moved around the world to play basketball and none of there previous choices have shown they were making it a priority to be close to each. Why would you choose UWGB if you wanted to be buy your family? If family was a huge deal, I'm sure Kanter would have found it easier to pay for his brothers tuition at a nearby D-1 allowing him to transfer when the older brother is a FA without penalty. Kind of backwards to think Enes would be that influenced by his younger brother, when Enes is the one looking at a big pay day. Also, GB isn't that close to GB where they will be close enough to visit often during the season. I would say being 2.5 hours drive away from his younger bro being number 30 on his reasons list.

I really hope we do not go after Kanter.

Is there any precedent for Offensive oriented Centers who do not pass having a big impact on winning games for their teams? Championship caliber teams are usually anchored by a Defensive Big Man or a role playing Defensive presence. I cannot think of any championship contenders recently or in the past with anything close to Kanter.

Kanter and/or Jackson would be a nightmare.

Whatever, all I did was pull an interesting tidbit out of that article that I wasn't aware of and suggested that maybe Kanter would have interest in Milwaukee because his brother is close. I don't think that is an absurd leap to make but apparently it is.
