Between Bledsoe's long negotiations, Dragic's anger and the blatant shopping of Thomas, Suns' front office building bad reputation w/players

Two steps forward, 4 steps back. Since Sarver bought the team, no player has trusted the Suns FO.

Yannis is absolutely throwing the Suns FO under the bus here... pure biased opinion being spewed out as facts.

1. Bledsoe and Rich Paul was the ones who was a huge part why their was a delay in negotiation, the Suns told Bledsoe that they will deal with him *after* they do their recruiting of Lebron James and another superstar so they can *fit all of them under the cap. This method is 100% logical.

2. Thomas IS lucky the Suns offered him a contract and signed him a 4 year 27 million guaranteed contract, when there werent much teams throwing money at him... IF their were teams offering MORE money and a guaranteed starting role.. why didnt he take it??? the answer?... because Suns gave him the best combination of money, years and role.

3. Dragic screwed the Suns... he simply just needed to vent internally and not say anything out in public... thats on him.

The Suns, one of my favorite teams to watch, have been painful to watch in crunch time. Too much ISO ball, and not enough Dragic conducting.

And now Bledsoe will be in full command. Oh Good. Not looking forward to life after Dragic.

Dragic in crunch time is a train wreck.

Think your going way overboard. 4 steps back??? Get a grip

He's another Dragic fanboy. They can't see straight right now.

Dragic on if the #Suns can do something to change his mind, "I already made up my mind. It's 2 years, I played hard and every year is same."

Guys, we got IT last summer. When Dragic says "it's 2 years"...what the hell happened last season that pissed him off so much? Is it Eric?

I mentioned numerous times, we have several bad eggs on the team. I catch this negativity vibe with the MoBros, Tucker, Green, and IT. They are cancerous. Dragic doesn't appear to enjoy playing with them. Probably because these guys only care about their own stats then winning. At least thats my interpretation. But it would be difficult to trade 5 players as opposed to just trading Dragic (and his brother). Oh, and I bet Plumlee doesn't like this guys either. Why else would Plumlee request a trade? He isn't gonna get much playing time elsewhere, but if the situation (chemistry wise) was bad enough, I can see him just wanting a change of scenery.
If we wanted to appease Dragic, trade IT/Warren Lakers 1st for Tobias Harris/Frye. Get Dragic his BFF. Trade MoBros/Tucker for David West. Trade Gerald Green for Jared Dudley. Bet he stays at this point.

Its been said numerous times before, Thomas was signed as insurance in case Bledsoe didn't re sign. Whether you agree with it or not thats why he was signed is the belief of the majority.

This is stupid. Bledsoe was the one who waited until the last minute. He wouldn't even talk. How is that the Suns FO fault? Prima donna little men. Too bad we can't find a Tim Duncan. He complains about calls, but is the consummate professional off the court.

Thats........not a bad starting 5. Actually quite good. The bench sucks though.

I totally agree. To me the biggest mistake McD made was not trading Goran this summer when his value was at its peak.

The fans (and Sarver) would run him out of town if he traded Goran last summer.

So based on Drsgic's comments today, he can't have been happy playing with Bledsoe.

You don't need insurance, most teams only have 1 good PG anyway. If Bledsoe left, whoop dee doo, we still drafted Ennis in the top 20 and he would have been backup PG.

I hate Mark Cuban but even I have to admit he is a good owner and Players want to go to the Mavs because of him. Owners make a world of difference. Lets be honest here, Sarver has been a train wreck. Colangelo probably regrets his decision to sell to Sarver every frickin day.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Anyone think maybe McD didn't really want Dragic in the first place? He wasn't the one who originally signed him. His age doesn't fit with the rest of our core. He is not a strong defender. Is it possible all of the "we want to keep him" stuff before the leaks was just us upping his trade value? I'll admit I'm taking a shot in the dark here, but that seems to be what everyone else is doing anyways.

The Suns FO really thought that they where going lose Bledsoe.. It was not until the last minute when Bledsoe made it know that he was going to sign ..

Yes, should have traded ahead of the last year before UFA. I understand why they didn't, trying to ride the success of last year and hopefully make the playoffs this year. Gambled and lost - time to salvage as much value as possible.

In essence, Dragic can be part of that group you mentioned that "only care about their stats than winning"
Since he wants to be the main man foremost and get paid, over improving chemistry and sacrificing role.

Suns really need to take a page away from the Spurs recruitment process, they only trade for or sign players that have the "soldier" mentality.
I've never seen David Robinson complain of lacking touches when they got Tim Duncan, instead Robinson took Duncan as an apprentice and sacrificed his game in order to maximise Duncan which lead to their first championship.
Then Duncan sacrificing MONEY and ROLE in order for the Spurs to re-sign key players and keep the competitive edge, Ginobili on the same boat.
Dirk Nowitski is also another player who has shown willingness to sacrifice money and role for the betterment of the team.

Suns need players like these, doesn’t have be 15 out 15, but atleast several, so it sets up a tone of "sacrifice" which makes other players take notice, which is also great for the young players.

Exactly. I think as bad as this looks right now it will turn out well for the Suns in the long run. We don't have the pressure to max out Goran now and he looks like the bad dude now with the way he's leaving. Dragic is a good player but he's going to be easy to replace.

Return to Phoenix Suns
