Damn yall things getting heated in here.
Remember one thing: You all are nothing more than a fan. McD, Dragic, Sarver and IT are all gonna sleep tight tonight in their million dollar houses regardless of what happens.
It's cool to discuss and disagree but let's not go to other levels for these millionare athletes and employees who don't know, think or care about any of us.

I don't particularly get along with 1UPZ, but I'll be the Mo Bros. in this instance and stand up for him.
STFU and know your role. You've been here less than a month.
I rarely get along with the Madman, and I'll be the other Mo Bro on this one, and stand up for him as well.

Sorry, I gotta let this go. Y'all go ahead and hate Goran. Burn the effigy. Get catharsis. MB.
You're a fanboi. I'm a fan. The difference is I'd rather the franchise do what's best for them, rather than accommodate a fringe all star who wants a max deal. Oh, and he also just blasted our FO.

Re: Re: Official Trade Thread: How to Trade Your Dragon
it would be incredibly ironic for me if the suns traded for Harris in the next 24 hrs. I grew up in Wisconsin so the bucks are my other favorite team. The only worse deadline than this one this decade was when the bucks made that dumb **** Harris for redick trade. I hated that deal so much I stopped following the bucks for a while. No this front office is in danger of pissing me off just as bad if they go with the keep goran and try to give him 100 million plan.SF88 wrote:GET. TOBIAS. HARRIS.
Now if we land Harris somehow I'll consider this a great deadline even with the goran mess.

Re: Official Trade Thread: How to Trade Your Dragon
The craziest thing about all of this is that Dragic said he wants to be the man and control the offense. He wants a Steph Curry like role. Yet his three preferred destinations, NY, Miami, and LA, all possess players that 100% control the offense. Carmelo, Kobe, and Wade. Those guys thrive the most with role playing point guards that stand at the three point line and catch and shoot. The Derek Fisher type role. Dragic wants to play like Curry or Nash. He is not going to do that if he plays with Carmelo, Kobe, or Wade. That is why this is even dumber than anyone could imagine. Him and his agent just want one of those three teams because they are major markets and they want as much money as possible. Bigger markets equal more media coverage and endorsements. That is all they care about.

Rather than focus on how bitchmade Goran Dragic and his gay ass agent are being, rather than focus on how **** stupid the front office is being, focus on yourselves.
Actually no, focus on all. Focus on the magnitude of how utterly and unnecessarily **** up everything got. It's all yours. This is as bad as the 49ers and Jim Harbaugh not getting their heads out of their asses to stay together for 20 years and dominate football.
It's inexcusable. On ALL fronts. This is the dumbest **** thing I've seen happen in a long time, and I'm online following politics all day.
But hey, you wanted to be like every other team, right?

Re: Official Trade Thread: How to Trade Your Dragon
I ain't been here long but I sure as hell have raised a number of discussion points:
1. The relative value of paying Dragic up to $17.75m per year which, as a % of the salary cap, is the same as what Kidd and Hardaway took up in 99-00. I used this as my basis to justify saying i'd be comfortable paying Dragic $16m a year, would be uncomfortable paying him $17m a year but would probably do it, and anything more than $17m I''d prefer a trade. I elaborated by saying Bledsoe and Dragic aren't nearly as good as Kidd and Hardaway but the price for Dragic was justifiable in view of how he lead us to 48 wins last year with a horrendous supporting cast and an injured Bledsoe, while Kidd and Hardaway managed 53 wins but with a pretty good supporting cast of Rogers, Gugliotta and Robinson.
2. I raised the point that you can never blame one person for a f*ck up and actually gave a % breakdown of 'blame allocation'; about 50% of it should be laid on RMcD, 20% on Bledsoe, 10% on both Hornacek and Orlando, and 5% on Dragic an Thomas. By all means if you think it's Dragic's fault say so but provide evidence for it - shooting Dragic down based on heresay is inane.
Both of the above are an attempt at intelligent discourse, and the first point based on fact - two terms that appear to be entirely optional for some people on this board. To restate - I am no fanboy, I am interested in facts and pinning this all on Dragic is just idiotic.

Re: Official Trade Thread: How to Trade Your Dragon
I think Dragic doesn't want to leave. I bet he is just forcing the hand of our front office to make other changes. Trade IT/Tucker and Lakers 1st for Tobias Harris/Frye and he stays. No reason to cry over trading the Lakers 1st because we would have the right to match any offer for Harris in free agency as he is a restricted free agent. The Magic will counter and make it IT/Green for Harris/Frye and I would accept that too. Move MoBros to the bench, they can provide the spark there. All will be good in Suns land.

While I might agree with your point in general, I walk a different path when it comes to the metaphorical use of the word "literally". It's been used in this manner by some of the finest English language authors for more than 4 centuries. Purists have only been decrying it's use as an intensifier (or it's metaphorical use) for about a century now. Somebody woke up one morning and realized that it had a specific definition that didn't appear to allow for the way learned minds were using it. That person had a stick up his butt and proceeded to make a big deal out of it. Not unlike the idiot that convinced a generation of English speaking people to avoid the use of the word assume because some Professor once told them it made an ass out of "u" and "me".
Anyway, I would avoid saying "I literally yelled when I heard Goran wanted a trade" but I'd be comfortable saying "I'd literally jump over the moon if we were able to turn Dragic into J. Okafor". But on an internet forum, I'm not going to complain too much if I can figure out what the guy is saying without having to re-read his comment more than twice.

Well let me return the serve... I *like discussions, we don't have to be on the same page or even book, but pushing different opinions and point of views and challenging each other, is all good in my book. In the end, its all part of being a fan.... and individuals.
Today, I'm ultra-pissed by all the things I've heard from Dragic and how much value he has lost the Suns.
To get people like 3rdside to stir crap is just not worth it, he is trying to troll, well no more response from me to him. His trolling ends with a whimper.

Agreed. The other thing about those destinations will be the level of expectation. If he airballs the final shot of a game in NY, he will catch hell for weeks.

Re: Official Trade Thread: How to Trade Your Dragon
Everyone is unhappy. Everyone is dismayed. The entire **** organization is a MESS. This starts with Robert Sarver. He needs to be purged. So does the wonderboy Ryan McDonough. Get rid of his punk ass and get someone who knows something about treating players as players and not pixels and code in a **** video game. Get rid of Jeff Hornacek and his **** ass for letting some punk ass loser from Boston tell him how to coach a basketball team and relegating his star guard to nothing in order to fulfill his jerkoff fantasy of two "baller" guards. Get rid of Isaiah Thomas, for being a selfish cocksmoocher who's now driven two teams to madness. Get rid of Eric Bledsoe for being a primadonna, "mini-Bron" **** who took so goddamn long in the offseason and helped create this disaster in the first place. Get rid of Markieff Morris and his butt buddy boyfriend of a brother so they can fight at playgrounds and make lazy ass passes elsewhere. Get rid of PJ Tucker so he can drink and drive all he wants without driving into a **** cactus at 3am. Get rid of Gerald Green and his **** mentality so he can shoot with nobody under the basket to rebound his 2-15 shooting nights.
Start the team with Alex Len, TJ Warren, Tyler Ennis. A real center, a real scorer, and real point guard. **** everyone else.
This is one broken ass franchise that even the love child of Aaron Nelson and Jesus Christ himself can't heal.

This is from Woj's new updated article about Dragic he just posted: "For Dragic, the Suns are pursuing packages that include a young player with significant potential and a first-round draft pick or two first-round picks, league sources tell Yahoo Sports." http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--s ... 09795.html

I'd literally jump over the moon too!
But someone clearly trolling will come here and probably post a thesis on how its impossible to jump over the moon with the current level of science we can understand. And make comments on your intelligence and knowledge of science.
Although they are discovering new things every day it seems, regarding our universe, the forces within it, altering previous models and theories etc. So maybe jumping over the moon won't just be a "hyperbole" sooner than we think.

Re: Official Trade Thread: How to Trade Your Dragon
Okay, call me crazy (or don't, either way), but MAYBE this works? I'm not saying it does...but if Kings want to move on from Cousins (not saying they do).....MAYBE.
Kings Get:
Goran Dragic from PHX
Alex Len from PHX
Avery Bradley from BOS
Marcus Thornton from BOS (8.6m expiring money)
Suns 2015 1st round pick (Top 12 protected)
Celtics Get:
Isaiah Thomas from PHX
Miles Plumlee from PHX
Ramon Sessions from SAC
Suns 2017 1st round pick (Top 10 protected)
Suns Get:
Demarcus Cousins from SAC
Darren Collison from SAC
Jared Sullinger from BOS
Salaries work:
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kzpgvau
Obviously, this only works of the Kings are thinking of dealing Cousins, but it gives them a decent amount of cap flexibility in the offseason, 2 young starting caliber guards, and a solid C with potential and a good mid range draft choice. Celtics get some decent talent in IT and Plum and a future pick. Suns get DeMarcus Cousins, who is a legitimate candidate to be a breakout star in the league. One of the few dominant post players, and a guy who looks like he'll eventually perfect a 12-15 foot jumper. Darren Collison, a solid PG who has averaged 12 and 5 for his career, and Jared Sullinger who is a young big body that can score and rebound.
Suns lineup:
Bledsoe/Collison/Ennis
Green/Goodwin/Bullock/Zoran
Tucker/Marcus/Warren
Markieff/Sullinger
Cousins/Wright
Kings Get:
Goran Dragic from PHX
Alex Len from PHX
Avery Bradley from BOS

Suns 2015 1st round pick (Top 12 protected)
Celtics Get:
