really now?

We have very VERY different views, and statistics back mine up.

Also, SAS were being talked about having one of the best playoff runs in nba history. they were incredible. Had we had a better bench, we would have won more than a game.

Spurs are still the same team only their season hasn't started yet.

That makes no sense, and foolish to think the same team, especially at their age will automatically be the same.

Could Olshey be angling for Afflalo and Prince? If he does a 2 for one trade to get afflalo, it would open a roster spot for prince.

Lillard/Blake
Wes/Afflalo
Batum/Prince
LA/Freeland
Lopez/Kaman

....... not too shabby

They might be a better team. The best player is 23 years old and still improving. The supporting cast is old but as long as Duncan is healthy, they will be at least as good as last year.

If Blazers create a roster spot, they should use it on a PG.

I'll be pretty psyched if we do anything at all. I can't believe the Eric Maynor trade was only two years ago. It seems like we haven't made a trade deadline move in forever.

If the trade is Barton + Robinson +1st for AA, i see no reason not to waive Claver and sign Prince and a PG.

I mean, its a lot of moves, but Claver isn't doing anything and will be a FA. the PG probably won't play, but you need someone if blake or lillard gets hurt.

I'd really prefer Chandler to Afflalo merely because of the contract situation. In terms of fit Afflalo seems like a much better option, I really wish the option was a team option

I can't help but wonder if Denver is using Portland to see if they can't get a better offer. Teams tend to do these things in the final hours of the deadline

Everyone was at practice tonight, but T-Rob was not made available to speak to the media by the team... Could be that a deal is in the works, could be that they want to shield him from media speculation...

sheeesh, I sure hope it's not influencing it any. CJ puts together 4 decent games and suddenly that means more then his other 72 games?

Olshey needs to set aside his man-love for CJ and give Portland the best chance for success this year. Let Stotts decide if CJ deserves minutes over a new arrival(s), but the main thing there is actually giving Stotts that option

less minutes.

I keep seeing people saying AA and Chandler?

Where has this ever been rumored? There is no way we could land both unless we decide to trade CJ, Leonard, 1st. or something along the lines plus a lot of fillers to equate ~ $14mil

It would have to be a larger deal for Chris Kaman's contract could be included in a deal with CJ and T-Rob
which works under the trade checker along with a pick. Meyers might already be ready for the backup
center role with his recent play making Kaman expendable. Having both Affalo and Chandler would make
Portland a dangerous team assuming LA is okay.

We don't even know if Olshey is talking to the Nuggets. The only thing we know is if it's true, we won't hear about it until it’s done.

We do know he has been talking to DEN, from numerous sources.

Well that Shelburne tweet confirmed my suspicion that the Stein tweet was just what rival Exec's "thought" we'd be willing to offer.

I gotta disagree though, if we trade for AAA we are not giving Stotts an option he would have to play him or suffer the blow back of not giving him the mins he wants.

Even if he looked like a struggle to fit he would still get mins because of that Vet stamp. Same deal as GW over Nic and Wes even though he was playing bad.

Whatever you want to think, but when numerous people getting paid to do this for a living, say POR is talking with DEN for the past month, I'm going to side with that.

People are paid to build an audience. They are entertaining you by telling you what you want to believe.

Of course, Olshey is talking to other teams about trades. Most of his discussions are only exploratory and nobody that is paid to talk about it knows any facts. People are guessing and being paid to entertain. The few people that know the facts are paid not to talk about it.

Sometimes it's been a while since I've ignored a poster, and think I wonder why I have them on ignore, so I hit display this post, and then I'm quickly reminded why.
