General Board topic content
Is there any chance of a rule being created for the GB that a post about an article or news story needs some type of accompanying analysis/opinion? Certain posters are cluttering it up with literally every NBA tweet, no matter how noteworthy. I understand it does lead to interesting topics at times, but it also leads to a littering of topics that nobody cares about.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I'll also go in with OP. It's a discussion forum, it would be beneficial that all thread openers be accompanied with the OP's opinion to fuel discussion. Would also prefer "tweets" alone to go in one "rumour" sticky style thread for general boards.

It's gone from a discussion forum regarding the NBA to much more of just commenting on NBA news and rumours.
This is what it looked like a year ago.

This is what it looks like now.

I think this problem has been taken care of.

Re: General Board topic content
Reddit mentality has kind of taking over in a lot of ways. The thought that just opening a thread and letting it roll is sufficient without OP providing a jumping point for discussion, beyond providing the general medium to begin it in the first place; that medium being someone else's content and opinions.
I agree a standard for topics would be good. A thread that is started with just a Tweet or even worse just a link to an article (exempli gratia) should not be sufficient, imo.
While it seems obvious to me that providing at least one sentence worth of thought behind your thread is a benefit to the thread you create, I recognize that people probably wouldn't like that rule a whole lot. I understand the social drive to be noticed, so many feel the need to rush to push out Tweets and be "first." I don't really what the best solution is to this (probably do nothing), but I just wanted to throw my two cents in anyway.
