There will be no John Salmons, no Monta Ellis, no J.J. Redick.

(If anything, the Bucks would love to "reverse" the Redick deal and send a veteran away for a team-controlled second-year player.)

Nobody is thinking about trading him. No chance we'd get what he is worth in return. We discussed him being our 'Jimmy Butler' quite a few pages back. All of his numbers at age 23 are superior to Jimmy's numbers when he was 23.

While I obviously would not look to trade Middleton, any Jimmy Butler or Klay Thompson comps are irrelevant. The percentage of players who develop as much as they have is tiny. Middleton is Middleton.

Of course other teams want to trade for him and would create threads and discuss it. Middleton isn't some project. He is a LEGIT NBA starter right now. Statistically he is one of the best wing defenders RIGHT NOW in the league. He is also one of the best shooters and he moves the ball. You are right...Middleton is Middleton. And that is one heck of a player.

LOL, that was pretty much exactly my point - 6th in RPM and 16th in WAR now.

I think I read where someone said Ingles. But originally I thought it was McGary. Anyone have insight here?

It kind of seems like all the teams this year are stubborn with all of their offers. Before it was like a fire-dumpster sale at the deadline and now it is trench warfare. Expect little at the deadline I guess.

Is the LAC pick "valuable" in this definition? That might be intentionally vague from the team in this interview.

I would be really mad if Middleton got traded. He seems like a perfect fit in Milwaukee alongside Giannis and Parker. Henson and Ersan can GTFO though.
