Sarver has never shown he cared about draft picks.

Then why does his team have a ton of them? DAntoni didn't care about draft picks. McD does, and Sarver has been fine with that. Real history, not just the repeated nonsense that is found on message boards.

I would like to get Deng with those 2 firsts (and I want them minimally protected). His leadership would be great here.

When he was praising the city and the franchise, his body language was being contraditory.

Just watch he telling "I love the 5 years I got here and love the city" and shaking his head in denial.

Unbelievable.

Dragic is the FARTHEST thing from a dbag. He gave everything to Phoenix. He came back after being traded once. He played through injuries. He stayed quiet last season when the Suns brought in another starting caliber point guard. The marriage worked because Bledsoe and Goran split pg duties equally. This season, Drgaic has played off the ball almost exclusively. He voiced his displeasure multiple times, he was told the role would change, it didn't, so he asked out. I actually give him credit for facing the media rather than hiding like Ty Lawson did.

He only "faced the media" cauz he wanted to publicly air out his grievances with the FO and construct a narrative of victimhood. The relationship was beyond repair, this was just the final blow to ensure that he would devalue himself as a trade commodity by announcin our lack of leverage

Silvers is putting in the new playoff brackets in 2016-2017, no?

From my Heat perspective, Riley doesn't want to give up Deng. He wants Deng and Dragic and he is willing to give up an extra pick to do that. The Heat do not value picks like other teams, especially for going all on while getting to best out of Wade and Bosh. Our window is small again, and yes that makes our picks valueable. If it's a 2019 pick we def gonna be in the lotto lmao

I think we have enough prospects in the pipe for now. I'd love to pull the 17/19 or 18/20 firsts from Miami, they're getting old and those could be decent picks.

why? Is spite a good reason to not take 2 1st rounders? If dragic is on this team come Friday I might need to take a little break from the suns for a while.

Why? Because a top 5 point guard (which he is when he is allowed to play with the ball), is worth more than the garbage that is being offered. There is a reason Goran will get the max this offseason and it is because multiple teams think he is that good. Do not cash out for cents on the dollar. The franchise is better served trying to rectify the problem and making the next two months a recruiting pitch.

The main reason he'll get a max is because the FA is so bad. Pretty much every major player is in a great situation and will probably stay with their team (Aldridge, Gasol, Milsap, Kawhi, Draymond etc). The crappy big market teams will be desperate for a "star". Especially the Lakers.

2 1st rounders is pretty decent considering the circumstances. Wonder how far in the future they are though

The opposite. If the market was so bad, teams could actually underpay because he would not have many options.

I'd prefer a delay in receipt combined with low protections.

That's exactly right. And Riley owes it to Wade to go all-in now. 2-3 years from now is simply too late.

As of now I would say IT is the one to be moved. And Zoran may be shipped off to Siberia to play for the Siberian Gulag International team, lol.

Miami may win if they budge a wee bit. But who knows.

Miami isn't offering Deng with that. Scrub package. And two middle of the pack firsts. We are trying to include a better package to covince them to part with Whiteside but they don't want nothing to do with chuckleheads.

SAC & HOU have assets to interest PHX but not Dragic's interest. Others don't have assets or can get him in July. Tough ultimatum for #Suns.

Can't Whiteside not be dealt right now? Thanks for the info though!

Still kinda bummed out by Sac and Bos retracting their interest. Sullinger or McLemore would have been a nice return
