Of course you would trade Motie because you want TJones to get his starting job back, just like I would trade Ariza because I don't particularly like the guy.

It's not really personal preference... don't get it twisted. I think Jones will EARN his starting spot back and would have kept it despite the injury. I think Jones gives the Rockets more versatility than Motie and is an overall better fit.

That said, I do think Motie is a nice player and has really maximized his minutes. He's an asset with strong trade value.

Unless you've met Ariza or know him personally, I don't understand how you can make that kind of judgement on him. On the floor, he fits the team almost perfectly.

What? There's never been an athlete or entertainer who you don't care for even if you haven't met them? I haven't met John Stockton or Karl Malone and I can say I hate those guys. Lots of Rockets fans didn't like Ariza from his first stint here but everyone else seems to have forgotten. It doesn't help that he replaced Parsons but that's not the only reason.

No, I won't make that kind of consideration until I meet the player. From the guys I've met, I've found many times on-court personality is very different than off-court.

For me, I value defense more than offense so I like Ariza much more than Parsons, for example.

Well Motie's defense is much better than Jones'.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Heat offering 2 first rounders for Dragic. Pat Riley does it to Morey again.

I hope the Rockets go for Brandon Knight then. That's a rich deal.

Goran? Might be tough to pull that off at the deadline, but no doubt he's a Rocket next season.
Knight... can shoot but Milwaukee likes him. Lawson? Expensive player but Nuggets are done.
Burke has fallen out of the rotation in Utah.
Calderon is a nice 3pt shooter.
Are the Rockets "staying Pat" with Bev?

???? Pick up to 2 names you think are the favorites to be a Rocket in a couple days.

Mmmmmmmmm Calderon at 7m for 2 years might not be a bad pickup.
Downside is that he's 33 and hasn't been up to his normal par the last two years, which probably means he's probably got a fork stuck in him somewheres.
Knight would be better, but there's going to be some overpayment going on there.
Dragic seems to be overrating his value at age 30.

No to Burke.

Tough options.

What about Prigoni or Reggie Jackson?

Crazy idea here: what about free Lil Sip?
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

Well Jones' D on Aldridge was so bad in the playoffs McHale was forced to go to the Twin Towers midseries. Even Thomas Robinson was owning Jones.

Ok.. yeah he didn't have a great series. Only Howard played well in that sample set of games. Motie couldn't even get on the floor. Also LMA is a really great player and has destroyed most who cross his path.

Jimbo wasn't good either... does that mean he's not a monster offensively?

I think it's a bit ridiculous to point to those couple games as basis for broad judgements. Overall, Jones fits the team better even if Motie has a better post game at this time. Had Jones been getting his regular minutes this season, we'd still see Motie as a bit of a "throw in" to any deal.

I'm saying sell high on Motie, if any deal is going to be made. Selling Jones low doesn't make as much sense in terms of expected return.

If true, Goran won't re-sign in Houston, the Rockets need to look elsewhere.... to Milwaukee!

Get Knight and Henson, Morey.

milwaukee has winning record
what make you think they are trading two important players away?

Because Knight doesn't fit well with Giannis and Jabari. Also they need to decide between paying Knight and/or Khris Middleton... I think they should pay Middleton.

Some don't think Henson is a starting center, so give them Motie/Capela.

Giannis and Papa are besties..

The Bucks aren't about to win the East so an overhaul isn't out of the question so long as their core remains intact.
