Unless something has drastically changed, he's nowhere near the impactful defender Larry is/was.
hes not even in the same discussion as sanders with overall impact tho. he measures as elite in any metric analysis you want to use. rpm, ws, warp, per... take your pick. at age 26 id be ecstatic to offer him the max this offseason. Id do it and not even blink an eye over it.
I agree. If he'd be willing to sign long-term here, that's the kinda guy I'd be okay including Middleton in a deal for. I was only pointing out that he's not really like Larry.

So does this mean it's done?
Larry is a thief.

I wonder what the Jazz would want for him from OKC/what would that mean for Reggie?

Probably time to put a nail in the coffin that is the Bucks 2015 trade deadline.

I wouldn't call two firsts and then a max offer soon to come as "cheap".

I wouldn't want to be a Sixers fan but I love watching what they're trying to do as an outside observer. Nobody's ever committed to a tank/rebuild like this before. I'm curious to see if they can pull it off.
Exactly. They've swung for the fences on everything and I applaud them.

So I feel like Harden is the obvious last example of this happening.
But didn't Houston have SOMETHING resembling an NBA team? Meaning, there was at least kind of, sort of something Harden could see that's worth sticking around for?
Anything's possible and I'm certainly curious to see where the Sixers end up in 5 years. If I had to put money on it, I'd guess they aren't going to be title contenders but again, anything is possible.

The Jazz have no use for Reggie Jackson. I'm guessing it would be a 3 way trade.

They'll have the cap space and assets. Is that the plan? I just assumed they are confident in their draft picks and will let it play out that way, or perhaps land someone in FA when the time comes.

If the Thunder get Kanter we've gotta make an offer for McGary

The whole point of that question is to pick one of those options. I'm sure there are many posters here that wouldn't want to make either of those deals.

I think I meant in terms of overall impact at the center position. We figured Larry would be really impactful if he played how he did 2 years ago. DeAndre Jordan is actually impactful, even if in different ways.
I'd have no problem maxing him out next year, either. He obviously has no reason to come here, however.

Maybe once the shoe drops on the OKC/Nets deal then an Enes deal drops next (us?).

Okay, if I had to pick one, it would be Kanter. Not fond of him either though. Jackson is a definite problem in the OKC locker room.
