Make no mistake about it... this is looking like an actual 5 year rebuild instead of a miraculous 1 season retooling..

- A top 3 Draft pick
- At least 1 or 2 FA signings
- Franchise player in Melo

That's a good formula to create an instant playoff team, especially in the east.

I just don't get how we can joke about this garbage. All the knuckleheads we got rid of are prospering on other teams and the good guys we brought here to be the glue for a good roster look bad. This is a nightmare not a reason to cheer.

This was the first game of the season where I didn't finish watching the whole game.

Also Hassan Whiteside's facial expressions piss me off.

There's no joke. We waved the white flag on this season months ago. This is a D-League roster simply going through the motions and doing exactly what it's supposed to do (lose) to land a top draft pick. You might be sad now, but you'll rejoice on draft day!

it has been since the beginning. I never saw 2015 as a strong enough FA class to bring us back from where we are at. It's more than a retool because we have almost no one on the books next year; so definitely fair to look at it as a rebuild. IDK knicks fans, knicks are doing what they've needed to do for a long time but its not an overnight process. Just buckle up and try to get excited about player development over the next few seasons instead of hoping for Ws. I know, very irrational but its what its looking like.

what is the problem with rebuilding? you get a great pick, trade melo for some young talent like minny did using love, use cap space to get assets like boston/philly does, and we may have a really long term plan.

The only people who look forward to draft day in the middle of the season are the sad fans who want to taunt David Stern and Timberwolves fans.

People would rather max out Reggie Jackson, trade for David Lee and go for the 8th seed than rebuild.

At least that's the sentiment on this forum.

nothing wrong with it. they're not rebuilding though. and they're not trading melo. they just suck this year and decided to ride it out for the pick. there is no pick next year. and by year 3 they'll have spent enough money to at least be in the playoffs. so we won't be in the lottery again for a minute. let's just pray this pick is good.
