i just went for a 57/18/12 and shot over 50% and we lost in double OT by 7. Playing the Bulls in the first round of the playoffs in my first year. I could tell once OT started I was done. The Bulls hit a shot with less than 2 seconds in both regulation and OT to tie it on a guy that wasn't even my man and was well guarded.

Sometimes I cut this game on and feel like I have zero chance in winning no matter what happens. You could just feel it and watch it materialize in front of your eyes.

Bulls shot 71% in OT. No idea how I made it to the second one.

How do they decide which legends teams to include?
Why don't they include the 90s Indiana Pacers?
That was a great team and came the closest to beating Jordan's Bulls (Pacers had a big lead in game 7).
Maybe one of their stars is refusing to let them use his image (Reggie Miller, Rik Smits or Mark Jackson?).
Barkley refuses to be part of the game, hence no 90s Phoenix Suns.
Also I don't like it how they include SIX different Lakers teams.

I've watched 25-30 point leads vanish in a single quarter. It was bad in previous games, but 2k15 is awful with this.

picking up the game for the first time in months, never really played it this year. thought I'd create a legends team filled with some of my faves from history using the legend teams in the game. here is my squad.

PG: Pete Maravich / Sam Cassell
SG: Drazen Petrovic / Sarunas Marciulionis
SF: Chris Mullen / Dennis Scott
PF: Cliff Robinson / LaPhonso Ellis / Tom Tolbert
C: Moses Malone / Bill Walton / James Edwards

the version of Drazen is from his rookie NBA season, so he isn't that great. Also an early version of Cliff Robinson and Sam Cassell before they peaked. The version of Bill Walton is from the 86 Celtics when he was barely able to move.

Not much defense is going to be played on my team.

I'm also on the Suns for career mode SG/SF 3pt shooter. Haven't played in ages though. Stupid CPU loves playing Thomas over Dragic and Green over Bledsoe. Thomas and Green take about 40 shots a game. I told the GM they needed to trade both, nothing happened.

Tom Tolbert is probably the weirdest name on that team. Care to elaborate?
I loved the randomness of Buddah Edwards though.

You too huh? I play SG and my version of the Suns actually traded for Reggie Jackson in addition to already having Thomas (starting), Bledsoe, and Dragic. I end up taking most of the SG minutes so those 4 share time at the 1.

I also haven't played in awhile, I apparently used up all my upgrades (player isn't maxed out though) and kinda lost the motivation to play in that game mode.

Funny we are getting back into it around the same time. I started a new Association mode game last week. My team is:

Curry - Mo
Oladipo - Lamb
MKG - PJ
Anthony Davis - Cody
Vonleh - Biz

Then I have scrub players rounding out the roster.

My team is awesome.

No real deep reason behind Tolbert and Edwards. I was looking for two scrubs to fill out the 11th and 12th man spots. I wanted the entire team to non-current players. Most of the legend teams have create-a-players at the end of the bench, so the scrubs were limited. Tolbert played for the Hornets (drafted by them), so I was always kinda fond of him and I was a big James Edwards fan back in the day. He had such a sweet turnaround.

Oh man.. I can't resist the temptation of sounding like a total douche bag when it comes to that James Edwards turnaround. It was just money. It was as pure as it gets.

Edwards could knock it down when he was one of the leading options for his team in his prime as well as he could when Longley was out and Phil played him as a 40-year-old in the 72-10 Bulls season. The thing about it, and I will risk sounding like I over-exaggerate here, is that the way he contorted his body on that turnaround was unique. If it were any other player, you would assume that he had lost his balance on that given play and fell back too severely. But that was the way Edwards did it always. And that shot is where he got a huge amount of his points.

The one grey area of his career that I can't figure out for the life of me is his participation in that late 80s Phoenix Suns mess. He's seemingly a great veteran, yet was one of the Suns arrested for a larger conspiracy of distributing drugs.

Why were you surprised about Edwards and drugs? ^ Did you think he was against drugs?
When I've played against the Bad Boy Pistons, I had more trouble stopping Edwards from scoring than anyone else.

just had the weirdest mycareer game ever.

i scored 52 points on 29 shots and had 15 assists (didn't make a three, just took 1)
Steph Curry hit a full court 3 with like 1.5 seconds left on the clock (i tipped a pass and it rolled all the way over there)
i threw a full court pass to Barbosa for a layup
the score was in the 90's at the end of the 3rd
David Lee turned into Wilt

My new Association mode Hornets team:

Kemba - Mo
Lamb - KJ McDaniels - Daniels
MKG - PJ -Marv
Anthony Davis - Cody
DeAndre Jordan - Biz - Hawes

I have no picks left because I loaded up on them through a series of trades to gather enough capital to bring in Davis and Jordan (Jordan was easy to get because he is an UFA at the end of the season) which means I won't be able to draft Kaminsky (boo freaking hoo), but my team is AWESOME!!!!!

I'm spending a bucket load of development drill pts on Kemba's shooting, Lamb running the break and MKG's handle.

Man I wish this was our actual team.

I picked up an Xbox One on the cheap so I also got NBA2K15 (for $39). Figure it will hold me out until Sept when 2K16 is released.

It's REALLY different to the 360 version with all of the different gaming options as well as the game play itself.

My team is:

Kemba - Lin
Batum - Lamb - PJ
MKG - Shumpert
Taj Gibson - Cody
Big Al - Biyombo - Nazr

I like the balance of my roster but there are a load of injuries in the league already (ACL's and stuff). I lost Batum 5 mins into the 1st game for 6-8 months with a torn achilles (so now Lamb starts - and is KILLING it!!).

Yeah I don't get why anyone would play with the injuries turned on.
The injuries have never been realistic, so there is no reason to play with them turned on.
Plus you have a more competitive league if there are no injuries.

I also just started a new association with the Horncats. I'm currently 4-0 in year two with thew following roster.

Kemba/Russell
Lamb/Hezonja/Daniels
MKG/PJIII
Love/Zeller
Biz/Nogueira

My team is kind of stacked with young talent, but Russell and Hezonja are only rated 75 as rooks so its not like the team is too good. I start big with a Love/Biz frontcourt and then go small a lot throughout the game with MKG at PF and Zeller, Biz, or even Love at center. Russell gets just as many minutes at backup SG as he does at PG. Hezonja plays backup SG/SF. Zeller backs up both frontcourt positions. PJIII gets spot minutes at SF/PF and Daniels gets spot minutes at SG. Nogueira only gets minutes in blowouts. My best/favorite lineups are the starting crew and then Kemba, Lamb, Hezonja, MKG, Biz/Zeller. I play a super fast borderline chucking style on offense with lots of pressure on defense. You could say the style is similar to Golden State but balanced a little more towards attacking the rim over 3-point shooting and with not quite as much emphasis on small ball. The team is a blast to play and quite good.

Haha my Charlotte Association/GM team is a bit similar:

Isiah Thomas - Jeremy Lin
Oladipo - Lamb
MKG - PJ
Antetekoumbo - Kaminsky - Zeller
Monroe - Hawes

Playing the Greek Freak as PF with Monroe as C and getting some solid results. Solid defensive wings with Giannis killing it with his athletic ability.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
