Even with Bosh down, I'm still more hopeful than when I wrote this.

yet u had to excavate this post? :o
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

(a) We fixed our pg rotation (see RH's last post)
(b) We lost our best shooter.

I can see us making the playoffs. After that, I really don't know. It depends on a lot of factors. I don't think we're good enough to be in the finals or the ECF, but you just never know. The postseason is a different beast.

One question I have is whether McRoberts might be back in 6 weeks. I think that's impossible, right? Or he might be back, but the Heat won't want to risk it.

Anyway, please add your thoughts.

Unless the NBA lets us play the Knicks every night, this team isn't even making the playoffs.

Yes, because now I think we can win the first round.

Really? I suppose your opinion is as valid as mine, but I just don't see how we make the playoffs, let alone actually beating someone in the 1st round. We're not playing well now, and it's just a matter of time before Wade pulls up lame again.

unlikely but possible. Obviously a signing of Blatche or Robinson is needed.
Then we line up
Dragic
Wade
Deng
Robinson
Whiteside

In the east, that line up if coached correctly is a good enough starting five imo.

Now I think the bench is a bit weak but ultimately it comes down to getting a power foward and praying Wade doesn't get hurt

Agreed, we definitely need reinforcement front court. Riley will pull something off though.

It's not going to be easy, but none of the teams below us are great either.

My bitching before about Spo was that he wasn't playing Napier, Ennis, TJ, and Whiteside. He has redeemed himself a bit in my eyes. I'm not a fan, but I think it's because I have an inherent mistrust of authority.

he played TJ 4 minutes last game... great way to encourage a young gunner that has been shooting and playing well. At this rate developing chemistry and seeing what the young guys can learn moving forward is the best we can hope for. Shut Down any injured players and plan for next year.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

My problem with shutting down McRoberts or Wade if he gets hurt or another player, is that the goal is to convince Dragic to stay. HI'm playing with McRoberts and letting everyone gel would make Dragic less likely to leave.

I don't think McRoberts's game at the moment would be impressive.

McRoberts, right now, would be a blessing. His shooting/Passing/Driving/High IQ play/Hair/Beard/Jersey Ripping would be a welcome in comparison to the Haslem/Over-played Deng Combo.

He's injured and won't be back until next year.

I know that. If he does come back for the end of the season/post-season (which is possible) I would be all for it.

I doubt if being tough is a factor in recovering from a torn meniscus. We have a four year contract with him. I don't think it's worth fighting injury for four years to have him pound the floor when Chris Bosh isn't there.
