Post#1 » by skywalker33 » Thu Feb 19, 2015 4:43 pm

AA and Gee goes to Portland for a 2016/17 lottery protected 1st & 2nd for T-Rob, Barton and Claver.

Would have preferred a 1st for this year's draft. Whatever

Does Claver get waived to make way for Lauvergne ?? Is there another trade coming ? I'm OK with seeing if next year's 1st is worse than this year's, can't be much worse. Still an asset that could be traded anyway.

A protected 1st, a 2nd rounder, and a couple of marginal prospects is pretty good return for a guy that we got for Fournier. Especially since Afflalo was never going to stay here next year unless Shaw was fired and they brought in a coach that Afflalo really likes, then of course we would have had to overpay for him as well.

First of all, the big winner in this trade is Portland. AA and Gee's defense will make them a much tougher team come PO time.

Secondly, I'd still have preferred to keep Fournier rather than expect the coach who has screwed up everything, especially AA and Faried, try to make something out of either any of the trio they picked up or a low 1st round pick in 2016 when, presumably, he will still be the Nuggets coach.

Hey so I just lightly browsed Arron and Alonzo's current year the best I could (having issues with browser loading stats) but first-eye view, how are they looking this year? Forcing shots or just shooting badly? Any chance Affalo picks it up with a change in scenery?

Hope T Rob picks it up with you guys! When he gets minutes and is making big plays, he was my favorite Blazer. Granted those moments came a bit more rarely than I had hoped...

These three guys have special passing skills. Check out the draft reports. Not perfect and not a homerun, but they are fresh faces.

T-Rob looks like he can handle himself under the basket.

Off balance, bad chemistry, given a terrible game plan, herky-jerky. Shouldn't have the same problems in your system though.

AA can't work out here with Shaw and has to go. He is better off right now.

Barton is averaging 18.8 ppg, along with the 1st did we get a steal here ??

Barton's numbers are a bit skewed due to our lack of effort, and him being the only one trying.

I will give him credit he was given an opportunity to be a real rotation player and he's proving he deserves to be one. He is so much like Brewer that it's scary but every team would love to have that type of player.

With the 1st we got a good deal, Barton has been a gem thus far.

True, I'm not expecting those numbers to continue, but nice to know the potential is there...

The Barton trade should serve as a lesson. He was a bench player in Portland and he's now the best player on denver. He's outplayed gallo while taking less shots, playing less minutes, and coming off the bench. If that isn't a sign to blow this roster up, idk what is
