good call!

Seconded.

I liked Eddie Jones, even though he was a Laker.

Eddie Jones was a nice player, but I have higher hopes and expectations for Goodwin.

Sorry, Goodwin already has elite athleticism and first step. Eddie Jones he is not.

Look at this driving lanes that he created.
This is baby Wade thing.

Well, it's time to confess... When Eddie played on the Lakers I did enjoy watching them. Didn't root for them, but those teams had some underrated sneaky good players. Divac, Elden Campbell, Nick van Quick.

Eddie could fly, I remember him murdering the soul of Bradley, and dunkig over Lang from the free throw line, during a game. :)

Reminds me of a more athletic LB. He does need to add a 3PT shot in though for guys to respect his range. When teams start game planning against him, he'll get shut out without a respectable shot.

Hey, Michael Jordan didn't have a 3PT shot earlier in his career either, and he turned out fine :)

Dwayne Wade's 3pter isnt part of his main arsenal, but it does help a lot that he can nail it when open.
Even Gerald Green wasnt a 3pt shooter earlier on....
Goodwin can/will add a 3pt shot, if not a mid-range (although analytics these days will encourage him to step out a couple more feet for an additional point per shot) as he develops and his experience on court teaches him the spacing the defense will give him.

The 3PT shot would really open up his game but adding even a respectable midrange shot would help. Right now he's just either pass the ball off at the 3PT line or drive down the lane, there isn't really anything in between.

this off-season I see him going-balls out practicing the 3pter, especially when Green leaves as Hornacek/McD will tell him to step up to the plate. He has a great work ethic.

Wasn't he working on that last offseason? During last season there was a lot written about Hornacek personally tutoring Archie on his shooting technique. I had assumed Archie would have been working on it during the off season.

Yeah he was but he was also improving his body a lot, so the shot needs to continually adjust as he changes his body and strength.
But I can see him actually practicing the 3pter with a defender on him... last season he was probably doing basics as in spot up shooting. This time, I can see him practicing with the defense within reach or running towards him.

Applogize for going off topic but does anyone else feel like the hardest shot in basketball is the pull up jumper from midrange when your going in full stride?

When I play at the local rec center or park, I can hit 3s and take it to the rim at a decent level but I cant a pull up J to save my life.

I watch Westbrook do it so easily over and over again, I get that he's an NBA superstar so no s**t but still, it's amazing how I practice on that exact shot and it's still never even close to going down.

Its hard if you dont practice it...

On my team, that off dribble shot under pressure is my speciality... years of practice. I would hit more shots off a dribble fading either left, right or backwards rather than a clean jump shot, mainly because I practiced those shots more than open shots.
