Don't forget McBob! May as well include him there, too.
Seriously, I'm not a Spo apologist, but we've played 55 games. Bosh is done at 44, Wade's played 37, Whiteside has played 27, and Luol Deng is our iron man at 48 games. Basically, it's been Bosh and Deng with NBADL guys most of the season. It's not like each of these guys has played 50+ games and is looking to play the final 29 together.
Wade's going to miss more time.
Bosh won't play again for the season.
Whiteside looks great, as does Deng, but they're good support guys for your star scorers. Their forte is putting in some buckets here and there, hustling, and anchoring your defense. Dragic is brand new, and I'm thrilled we've got him, but let's not act like he's coming onto an iron-man team. We're banged up. Our guys are hurting, and it shows.
It actually is impressive that we're still in the playoff picture. Though given the fact that we're in the East, you could argue it's more sad because the East is that bad.
Either way, I just don't think many coaches would be able to get much more out of a team with our dearth of talent on the bench and our lack of health in the starting five...
