The trade that the Wizards will regret not making is for Corey Brewer. Houston got him for a relatively cheap price. He would've filled Ariza's role seamlessly.

I think we have enough bigs that do what Nene does. so he is replaceable. Or are we better off putting Nene on the bench where they can "dominate" against the opponents bench?

I love Nene, but if the right deal comes our way (especially if there's a first involved) then i'm all over it. This team, particularly the front court, needs to get younger and more athletic.

But the more i think about it, the more i think it'll be treated the same way as the Ariza situation was. They'll probably entertain some offers up until the deadline next year, but will ultimately keep him with the belief that we need Nene when we get to the playoffs.

They will try to use him in a sign and trade for Milsap, Love or LMA. But thats a long shot. But they need to try.

If not, they will entertain trading him for a first because like it or not, they will try to sign KLife as his replacement off the bench since that will be Nene role next year. Bench center. And since he doesn't want to be a center and he is exp as a bench center, why not sign KLife cheap and start to transition the team to Wall, Beal, Otto, Gortat and a better supporting cast of players that can shoot from range, rebound, defend the rim, etc.

I talked about MIN trades. Corey is if nothing else.. full of piss and vinegar. And he plays well in transition.

He and Wall on a break would have been fun to watch.

$4,702,500 $4,905,000

That wouldn't have gotten in the way.

We are going to be OK. I think a lot of people here miss project the phaseses this team goes through in rebuilding.

Its still about building a young core of Wall, Beal and Otto. The vets will get trimmed off. They will either use the pick this year or cash it in for a big move. They still have options. They have assets. They have caps space. They have young players. The PP, Nene, Gooden, Millers of the team will leave and they will get replaced.

The Session move was MEH as a talent move but it was a good financial move. They have move cap space this year to use under the Lux cap if they find the right player. They have more TPE. And while he can't finish, Session can get up and down the court faster and move around the perimeter on D faster.

So does moving Miller also help us with cap hold this summer ? I suspect it does.

Hump was a nice add. Gortat is a legit center. Otto has a future.

From Wall, Gil, NY, McGee, Dray and 25 years of suck to what they have now is a world better.
