After the All star break, memphis needs to come out not as a potential candidate to win it all, but looking like the team that WILL win it all.
So I want your opinions on the to-do list for Memphis after the break and this is in order of importance
1. Sign Blatche or Stoudemire
2. Lower minutes of starters so no one plays more than 30 -32 minutes a night
3. Do something about the wing rotation to clear some space and minutes up, I love courtney lee, jeff green is pretty good, and TA is our energy , but what about vince carter and jordan adams? where do they fit? Joeger is going to need to determine how he wants to do rotations come playoffs
2. Look for the best offer for Leur or Calathes, I would like to see russ smith and Stokes be fringe as needed rotational players come playoffs

Re: Memphis after the All Star break
1. Yes, please. Preferably stoudemire, medical staff needs to give him a thorough physical though.
2. Agreed.
3. I wish joerger would've given adams in stead of calathes those minutes that became available once vince went out. Anyway, if vince is healthy come playoff time he'll get the 4th rotation spot over adams/calathes. How many minutes that'll be might depend on whether or not we actually get a better backup pf, if we don't get one green should get some of those minutes which in turn would free up extra minutes at sf for vince. Now, if vince doesn't get healthy lee/allen/green will probably get a couple more minutes and i expect joerger to give the remaining 5-10 mins to calathes, i'd prefer adams to get them though.
4. Leuer can potentially give you an offensive boost while stokes is strictly an energy guy. I guess i'm fine with either of them so why not. I don't know enough about russ smith but sure, he can't be much worse than calathes.
What about koufos? If we get one of amare/jermaine/blatche there won't be any minutes left in the playoffs. Try to trade?
Why not package him with vince (if the medical staff's not confident he'll get healthy). Maybe a trade with the raptors for chuck hayes and a 2nd rounder. Hell, if we don't get amare/jermaine/blatche you might even get them to give up hansbrough instead of the 2nd rounder if you throw in leuer, calathes and a 2nd rounder or 2. Then possibly just sign a cheap defensive or young athletic center for spot minutes if you're not sold on hayes.
- Raptors could use a big backup center and vince is a win for them either way. If he's healthy they could definitely use him, but even if he's not healthy they'll make a pretty penny on marketing/merchandising for obvious reasons. Leuer and calathes would be salary filler to make the hansbrough inclusion possible.
- Grizzlies don't need koufos or an injured vince and chuck hayes gives them a solid low post defender, good passer, generally high iq player and he could help stokes' development to an extent. Most importantly he's a 6m expiring so this gives the team a little extra wiggle room when re-signing zbo/gasol this offseason. Hansbrough would solve the backup pf problem if you don't get amare/jermaine/blatche and he's expiring as well.

Re: Memphis after the All Star break
1. Blatche looks to be going back to China and I still want no parts of Amare Stoudemire(history of injuries). Don't know why, but I'm holding out on Brandon Bass on the hopes he gets traded to a bad team and they settle on parting ways. Thus making him a free agent and hops the Grizzlies look to pick him up.
2. Always in agreement for the limitation of starters minutes to prevent wear and tear on the guys as the season gets closer to the playoffs.
3. I think depending on certain matchups, the Grizz can throw Green or Allen out in the starting lineup at anytime. Just make sure the both of them are on the same page and not at each others throats over who should start. I know Adams is a rookie, but I'm curious to see what he can bring to the table while looking to reduce VC's minutes a bit due to injury and needing to keep playing him under 10mins a game if possible.
4. On a deal concerning Leuer/Calathes, I'll have to get back to you on that.

Re: Memphis after the All Star break
I dont want to take the roster now, this is the team! (no chance at Amare...) what happend to JaMychal? i want to see him more.
The only change i want to see is DJ: making plays for Jeff, Marc being more agressive to the rim, Zbo open the court more often and resolve in 3 second with the ball, he needs to play more with the bench where he could do iso plays.

Re: Memphis after the All Star break
To answer the fourth question, I would like to add Brandon Bass if he happens to get traded to a team where he agrees to a buyout. That way the Grizzlies can jump on the opportunity right away.

Kevin Martin
for
Lee, Calathes
another pf that i want if he comes cheap is Landry, but i want to see JaMychal first!

NO LANDRY PLEASE. just not a big fan, and Lee plays better defense than martin, I would rather Calathes and Lee, that being said, Id trade Cater, Adams and Calathes for Martin, or do a 3 team trade with Toronto to essentially offload Carter and Calathes for Neal.
my (reasonable) wish list:
Terrance Jones
Harkless
Bass
Henson
Thomas Robinson
Tim Hardaway Jr

Re: Memphis after the All Star break
1) I am happy with the roster as it currently stands.
2) Why? The Grizz are careful resting their starters all the time.
3) I think the rotation is fine - we just need to find some time for Vince when he gets back.
4) Along similar lines, I do not think that Stokes, Russ, or Adams are ready for serious rotation minutes. I am happy with keeping Leuer and Calathes at this point.

Re: Memphis after the All Star break
We can do it with this team. With better substitutions and moving the ball on offense and with a healthy team, we are real contenders.
Go Grizz!!
oh, and i want to take OKC in playoffs!
