Count me in on the apathetic group at this point - I watched only a few minutes of the game, because it's frustrating to watch the team play. Bottom lines - you can't win against GS or ANYONE turning the ball over 26 times to their 9, not playing Gortat after he was easily the best big on the team for 3 quarters is mind-numbingly stupid, and playing Webster over Porter is even worse than mind-numbingly stupid. The team has to commit to developing Porter, and he played zero minutes. How does a coach do that, and how does a GM let his coach do that?

One of my biggest gripes is we seem more committed to getting Webster back to his level of play from 2 years ago than actually developing Otto. Otto is not playing terribly out there IMO... he just needs confidence & encouragement.

This team is not going to be a legit playoff threat until EG and Witt are gone. If that wasn't obvious before the season it should certainly be obvious now.

I did watch the game last night but didnt watch the previous two. Mainly i just wanted to watch Curry. He is one of my favorite players in the league.

Yep agree with you. I wouldn't say I'm completely apathetic but I'm losing more and more interest as Wittman pisses the season away doing stupid crap. I was more into the Maryland game last night anyway.

This season is over unless Randy is fired. We have a horrible offensive strategy. Enough long 2's, Gortat needs to play in the 4th, and Otto should be getting minutes over Butler and Webster. The Wizards need a coach that can develop young talent.

I know people have been talking about this, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that in a game where he had 16 points and 11 rebounds on 8-11 shooting, 2 turnovers and just 1 foul, Gortat played zero minutes in the 4th quarter.

I don't have the quote handy, but Randy lashed-out defensively when specifically asked about Gortat not playing in the 4th.

Yep. The one time he "adjusts" his lineup, he benches the wrong guy.

Yup, the Zards seem determined to get Webster back to the point where he's at least a legit 3 pt. threat. But it happening. Meanwhile, Porter, who gives you better defense, passing and rebounding than Web, sits on the bench instead of getting the PT he needs to develop. Crazy!

And what was up with subbing Webster for Temple on offense with about 2 mins left in the game? At this point, Temple may be the Zards best 3 pt shooter other than Beal, which is a sad state of affairs but the reality. Webster, on the other hand, is struggling from 3 pt. range...and everywhere else on the court.

It's hard to say what Webster is worse at - offense or defense. His +/- on offense is roughly -10.5 points per 100 possessions, while his +/- on defense is the same going in the other direction. So naturally Wittman thought it made sense to play him with the game on the line.
