Kirilenko would be a good addition if he wants to play again this season. We need someone like him pretty badly, even if he can only produce every few games or so. His length is very important.

Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

That's probably wishful thinking. It will probably be a pg.

Re: Around the NBA
It would have been nice if Memphis/Portland would have went to overtime. I didn't really care too much who won, but loss for Portland moves us to 4th best record in the West. Portland is still listed as the 4th seed as a division winner, but Clips would have home court against them if the playoffs started today.
I hope not.

Hope its not Telfair or Baron Davis
I have no confidence in Doc Rivers. He feels the SF spot is A-OK

Notes: Rookie Rudy Gay twisted his left ankle trying to guard McGrady late in the third quarter and limped to the bench. He returned with 5:51 left, then returned to the bench about a minute later - http://www.nba.com/games/20061231/MEMHOU/recap.html

It sucks when any player's career gets derailed by injuries. It's now been 4 seasons in a row that he has had to deal with some kind of serious injury or rehab. It's obviously weighed on his fans, but imagine what he's going through. Some of his comments over the past year may show that he's coming to some kind of terms that his career could be cut short. We'll see.
Who thought that Grant Hill would ever have a productive career after all that he dealt with concerning his ankle? Shaun Livingston had the most gruesome basketball injury that I've ever witnessed and he's been able to find a place for himself. BTW, it's crazy to think that he was drafted nearly 11 years ago.
Rose has 2 remaining seasons (not including this year) for a combined ~$41M.

Re: Around the NBA
Yeah the news about Rose is crazy. It's just hard for him to stay healthy and it may be due to the first injury he had in the playoffs. I don't know what he can do for himself besides shut it down for awhile. Tibs should also restrict his minutes if Rose is to have any kind of basketball future.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

The thing is for the first 2-3 months of the season that's what they were doing. He was only getting about 28-30 minutes a night because of the minute restriction to get his body right.

Baron Davis wants a comeback...
[tweet]https://twitter.com/basketballtalk/status/571521003731349504[/tweet]
And the rumor is Clippers want him...
[tweet]https://twitter.com/Chrisclipsla/status/571522317383155712[/tweet]
Davis may be a possibility because he defeated Doc's Big 3 Celtics before. His record against them is 4-4 with averages of 14.8 PTS, 4.2 REB, 6.3 AST and 2.1 STL in an average of 31.2 minutes.

Sadly, IIRC, the "big day" was referring to the Austin trade, so he was right about that.

Didn't happen until days later. He said it would happen on that specific day. And he didn't mean the Austin trade. He was talking about a Crawford for Chandler trade.
