18.6M in cap space. More than enough to sign two quality players.
I say..
1) Spend the majority of the 18.6M on Wesley Matthews and Danny Green.
2) Go over the cap to re-sign Jackson and Monroe. Get Tolliver and Anthony back, if you can. (MLE?, LLE?, vet min?)
3) Draft a stretch-4, like Bobby Portis.
C: Drummond, Monroe, Anthony
PF: Portis, Tolliver
SF: Matthews, C-Pope, Martin
SG: Green, Meeks
PG: Jackson, Jennings, Dinwiddie
*Monroe, of course, would be the starter. But I'd hope that we can find a stretch-4 in the draft who at least splits minutes with him in the front court.
Great two-man game going with Drummond and Jackson. Great shooters on the wings, and hopefully at the 4, spreading out the court and giving them room to operate. Very sound defensively, and character-wise. Great 3rd big man in Monroe. Great backup point in Jennings. We'll see what KCP gives us off the bench in year three. Tolliver and Meeks giving you shooting off the bench. Anthony a fine 3rd big.
That'd be a team that contends in the East, I believe.
