Great for him. He definitely wasn't going to be able to get that here. And at the same time, I wouldn't want the Hawks paying him that much. It was a move that needed to happen for both sides.

Wow that's a big deal for Leddy... at least for the Leddy we saw in Chicago. Has he suddenly developed since leaving us?

He's basically one of their top players. I don't think he's developed at all. Just in a place more conducive to him now.

The Islanders are extremely good this season thanks in part to many players stepping up. I'm very happy for Leddy. But at the same time, he wasn't getting the PT or money here. As much as it sucks he's gone, it was a great move for all parties.
