Both teams are losers of their last five games. The Wizards may have a slight edge tonight if Bradley Beal and Paul Pierce are available to suit up. Without further ado here are your starters for tonights game.

if losing this game guarantees Witless gets fired, would you take it?
I think I would. One win against lowly Philly wouldn't do anything for me.

Again, I dont think EG is great by any means but I think this roster as currently constructed can be an ECF contender and I do think we have more then enough shooters right now. Everyone is repeating the same thing about 3pt shooters but thats garbage. Put Wall-Beal-Butler or Porter-Pierce-Gortat in the game. Run p&r with Wall-Gortat all game with 3 shooters around the 3pt line and tell me we wont score and that we wont be a great 3pt shooting team

Nene chooses where the team eats

both of you guys are just dead wrong
and we have the evidence in regards to how we play. this teams greatest success came against a bulls team that was woefully injured and had been ran to death an entire season by Thibs. Then we lost to a Pacers team that literally had one of their best players going through a complete mental breakdown.
i mean you can say whatever you want about the roster being good--it's just not. analytics say its not, eye test says its not, results say its not.

I looked at the box score of the last three losses, and actually found some encouragement. At Detroit Gortat had 24 and 10. That game Detroit was hyped to welcome back Prince and to debut Reggie Jackson. Their energy was high. Pierce was bad.
The next game at home against Golden State Pierce had 25 or 28 points. Shot 9-9 FTs. The Wizards played the Warriors very close despite 8 turnovers by Wall and 8 more between Nene and Seraphin. They competed against GS.
Last loss at Minnesota had a lot of emotion by Timberwolves. KG returned. Washington won quarter one. Wall and Butler combined to shoot 3-18.
I think if Beal returns and Wall bounces back, this should be a nice win.
The Wizards are not as bad as the last few games have been.
