But Nash, Stockton, Kidd, Paul are all taken. My next choice would be an elite perimeter scorer; someone who can take the heat off of Robinson, particularly when the playoffs roll around (so it would have to be someone who can volume score efficiently in both the rs and playoffs).
Robinson/Nash would be a dream-like duo

A guy who was able to get to the rim (or the line) even in a time without good floor-spacing or rules outlawing hand-checking.....a guy who pretty consistently averaged >35 pts/100 possessions (once as high as 42.4) on shooting efficiency that was significantly above league average----and he did that in both rs and playoffs (no significant drop-off in the post-season).
After RSCD took Reggie, I was thinking about Gervin, too, but decided to take Drexler because he's IMO a better, more well-rounded player than Gervin. George is the better scorer, pretty easily (top 10 scorer of all-time pretty easily), but Clyde is a far better playmaker and defender.
It's still a great pick, though. Robinson being able to work as the #2 scoring option (can be #1 on any given night, too), and anchor a defense, means that he can be utilized exactly the way he should be.

Warspite took Frazier with his second pick already.

Quotatious wrote:I wanted to take him with my second pick, but I thought - trex and SkyHook selected centers with their first pick, so they are not going to take another center with their second selection, they're far more likely to take a wing/guard to pair with their centers...And now it turns out that SkyHook wanted Drexler, so I was right.![]()
There are like 4 or 5 better two way centers left available, but nobody is a better defender than the guy I'll take - Big Ben Wallace. Good luck scoring on him and KG combined.

If not I take Sabonis.
If its NBA only, then I'll take Marc Gasol
giordunk wrote:Really wanted to select a defensive big here too, but I guess the drop off is too high here. I hope I can still get my sleeper pick in the next round.
Anyway, Since my strategy of waiting for Curry didn't work, I'll pick one of the BPAs, John Stockton. All-time assist and steals leader, 5 time All-Defensive second team makes him essentially the third/fourth best defensive guard of his time behind Jordan, Payton, and Dumars.
He's a good percentage shooter. Volume isn't quite there but that's because he played in the 80s-90s.
I'll definitely be able to pick up some volume scoring options later down the line, so I'll pick one of the greatest teammates ever here.

Probably me just being morbid, but I hope nothing bad happened to him.
