Same place I have been.

He makes some good moves. Some real nice trades. Some just MEH moves and some bone headed moves.

Calling it like I see it and celebrate or complain accordingly.

Sessions was not on my list of targets and the best thing likely about getting him is the TPE we could use to get another player and added cap space to do so this year. Session seems like a 3rd PG to me. Sucks that he can't finish. If he could, he would be a decent little player.

He rarely drafts the players I think are the best targets. He did get Beal. I was happy about that. Wall was pretty consensus #1 that year thought he could have don't something else. I did like Otto when I thought we were drafting like 9th or whatever and he was slotted there. At 3rd, I thought they would go Len or Zeller once it was clear VO would be gone. Just thought they needed to start developing some young bigs for the future vs drafting a T Price type SF at #3. I talked draft trade down moves I liked in a couple drafts but never sure if a team can pull that off or not.

This coming year was my projected time frame for the first real moment where I felt Ted might make a move from EG. But still not sure he will. Randy? Now that's a move I could see them making either very soon or over the summer. I was fine with them keeping him after the intern year. I wanted him fired about this time last year but I suspected he earned the extension with that 2nd round playoff run, so that's what I'm most looking forward to/nervous about right now. I want this team to have a great HC.

As for who would be a good next GM for the Wizards. I haven't spent enough time looking around to chime in on that really. I mean sure, some one next in line thats good from a well run organization. That seems to be the easy place to look. But until I get some sense that is on the table for Ted, Im not investing a lot of time in looking.

Time to go all in hands - you don't want Checkers picking the next coach.

the Wizards fired coach Eddie Jordan and gave director of player development Ed Tapscott his first NBA head coaching job. "That's an unacceptable record, obviously," team president Ernie Grunfeld said. "We thought the change needed to be made.

and then Flip
“We felt the team had become unresponsive and we will look to Randy to provide a different voice and a change in philosophy moving forward,” Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld said in a statement. “We have been transparent in how we would evaluate our team this season and we were disappointed in the lack of development of our players at this point in our rebuilding plan.”

This is the evil genius of Grunfeld at work, he is managing Ted.

Good call by the FO to cut ties with Wittman now if this report turns out to be true.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Wittman sucks but firing him and leaving EG in place isn't going to change much.

Bottom line is that Ted is completely clueless about basketball, but can't admit it. Until he gets rid of EG the nightmare will continue.

In other news Jordan Clarkson just led the Lakers to a win over the Bucks. He had 16/5 shooting 7-9 from the field 2-2 from 3 with 1 turnover.

EG needs to be "promoted" to team Head President and relieved of his GM duties. He can do his cap management and evaluation of veteran talent...things he is mostly good at. That way we can go hire a new GM, who can eval new talent, make new picks, and be the final say for player pickup strategy.

Probably the best way to save face for everyone...assuming that is the hinderance in letting EG go.

I started to make a list of could-have-been Wizards, but the list was getting too-long. Clarkson is the latest club member.

I would say that only us missing the playoffs (sans a major injury to Wall) would give an impetus to Ted to can both Ernie and Randy. Not a good timing to fire GM this late in the season. Regarding Randy, Ted might pull a trigger if a HC change would ensue Wiz getting in the playoffs. Either way not a very happy situation.

"Nobody is going to be added to the team. That's the reality of it," coach Randy Wittman said after the Wizards lost by 20 points to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in the week.

I despise Ted & Ernie, they are perfectly fine with limping into the playoffs with who they have. The team will have an up-tick as Beal gets healthy, and that's good-enough for Ted.
