He had no market last year when he was one of the sole bigs on the market. He didn't just do us a solid. Kaman got a higher offer than him.

This market could have unrestricted bigs in Marc, Aldridge, Monroe, Jefferson, Hibbert, Tyson, Amare, Kaman, Asik, Kufos, Hill, boozer, Wright, and even Sanders if he magically wants to play. Eds eating in a lunch line, sure, but he's clearly at the end of the line because he's not better than them. I'm even betting Kanter and perk get better money

Going from that list I would break it down into these tiers:

~Max contract
-LMA
-Gasol

~At least $13M
-Monroe
-Jefferson
-Hibbert

~At least $10M
-Asik
-Chandler

~Between $6-9M
-Davis
-Wright
-Koufos
-Hill

~$5M or less
-Boozer
-Kaman
-Amare

~Smoking some ganja
-Sanders

I expect Ed and Brandan Wright to get similar contracts-both young, athletic, shotblocking bigs that can finish at the rim. Their 8 mil/yr contracts will be bargains once the cap jumps up for teams that have money to spend but may not be the biggest FA destinations. Personally, I would rather draft Russell and max DeAndre which has always been my #1 option this offseason

I don't oppose DJ but to me that was only feasible with no pick and trading for Dragics caphold. We could've paid DJ then. But that would be awkward as ****, just changing locker rooms and seeing your old teammates and coach and front office so frequently

If we somehow lose our pick Scott needs to get fired

Not a huge fan of Scott, bit I couldn't disagree more.

Do you realize how much of a challenge it is to lose games on purpose while appearing not to?

For those pisses about winning....the Sixers won last night so did New York, the only team in to lose recently was the T-Wolves. Over the next 6 games 5 are playoff teams, we'll return to losing. You guys that mentioning a coach needs to be fired for winning lower your level of ball IQ with each post mentioning it.

You think Scott doesn't KNOW the situation this franchise is in ? And who gives a f*** about what Sixer fans think ? They're just as deranged and delusional as their nerd GM. Basketball isn't and will never be based on perceived numbers.

Bottom line is we'll keep the pick. Stop worrying about what the f**k Sixer fans think, stop bitch'in about Scott and stop thinking we'll lose every game. It's virtually impossible. There's 24 games left and the rest of it is against playoff contending teams, I'm guessing we'll win maybe 8 or 9 of them.

This is essentially why I want the draft pick, there is no guarantee that we'll get any of those bigs. So might as well develop a fresh young front court with Randle-Okafor/Towns/Stein....
This is the thought process I'm down with. And to further expand on those bigs. A few of them are approaching 30 or over 30 already, bigs usually start to decline starting at age 32 or 33 and then it's a slow death on skills and the rest of his ability.

Go young, let the young buck sharpen their horns a few seasons...then soon after that no team is messing with a young, energetic and athletic frontline. And those same guys that people here are clamoring for will be deep into decline and ready to sign retirement papers.
