Modeling their games: Current Bulls & previous Bulls

I like Jimmy being a mid range guard and getting in the post. Fade aways. I would love to see him keep watching Jordan and model his game after him. He has the strength and the ability to get to the hoop.

Tony- WORK WITH PIPPEN IN SUMMER

Taj- I really think he is like Horace light, I know hes old but he has altered his game a little each season and I think he can still be similar.

Niko- I would like to see him work on his handles to be a bit more like Toni was.

Anyone else think think maybe some of the Bulls could work with alumni or could benefit from studying tape?

Jimmy needs to model his game after Bernard King (Master of the Mid-Range). Tony needs to be more like the Ice Man on offense and Paul Pressey on Defense. Niko needs to get with Scott Steiner and learn to pump them biceps up. Both Taj and Noah needs lessons from Barishnokov and a closet full of stick'em.

Im surprised this thread isnt getting more reaction per how much comparison we always have on this board. I dont think Tony could be as smooth as Gervin. Gervin is one of the best scorers ever (so is BK) but I think Tony could be Pippen like in a nice shooting/slashing game

Butler is in his what, 4th season? He is an NBA all-star and two way player.

You seriously want to tell him to model his game after some ancient one way player that blew his knee out?

This makes no sense.

I mean, maybe Taj is too old but I Jimmy is playing a lot like mid 90s Mike. Niko is a good stretch 4 like Toni, and while he doesnt quite have the handles, I think that seeing how savvy Toni was could help him.

As for Snell, Cmon. You dont think him trying to be like Pip is the perfect fit? Im gonna follow my gut about that since I have been right about Tony all along, much to the chagrin of the board

Blowing his Knees out has nothing to do with his overall game. Bernard King wasn't the defensive presence Butler is but he played decent enough defense prior to the knee injury. As for his offensive game, Jimmy would do well in developing that awesomeness that was Bernard King. Even after the knee injury he still scored like a man above boys. Bernard King is a HOF player and you can't get any better than that. You obviously never watched Bernard because you would never have dissed his game as you just did.

It would be nice to have Scottie work with Tony some the way he did Butler. He's always had the raw skill and athleticism to develop nicely, but his IQ was in question. Now that he seems to be getting it, who knows what his upside could be.

Snell could be a Kawhi-type. They're long slashers who have the ability to be amazing defensively and cultivate a wide variety of offensive skills.
