That had more to do with the level of prospect Lamb was and who else has been playing SG. It is easy to say someone to say they would rather see Lamb start than Roberson because Roberson can't shoot. Roberson has become the new Perkins since the trade deadline. Everyone seems to want him gone because because he doesn't score. Waiters has probably the worst shot selection in the NBA and shoots terrible percentages so again it's easy to say you'd rather see Lamb in there. Morrow is a great shooter, but plays mediocre defense so again the perception of Lamb's length making him a better defender gives people the idea that he should start over Morrow. So when you put those three together some people conclude that Lamb should be starting over the other flawed SGs.
None of that is based on Lamb being a good player. Lamb's defense is not where it should be at this point. The only thing Lamb really has shown is that he can shoot 3s at a solid rate. Lamb is still pretty much the same player he was when he came out of UCONN. The lack of development is a serious issue and a lot of that has to be lack of effort on his part. His defense hasn't improved at all. Lamb was a very good prospect, but a lot of that was projection that he would develop into a solid defender because of his length along with becoming a big time 3 point shooter and that hasn't happened.
