I'd at least like to see our players, other than DJ, consistently know down free throws
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Another good road win now I can enjoy the rest of my Sunday.

I was hoping that DJ would grab 30 rebounds, but 26 is still good :)

DeAndre's rebound numbers a bit inflated because no Griffin and our team doesnt rebound?

or is he just the next great rebounder?

Yeah, just a little bit inflated. DJ still needs to be more consistent in boxing out and staying with his man, but there's no question he's improved in both regards under Doc, whose crowning achievement with the Clips thus far has been elevating DJ's game. In light of my criticism of him in this very thread, I'll assert in his favor that Doc's work with DeAndre has been extraordinary and something I doubt most others would be able to accomplish. Of course, he's helped a lot by DJ's connection to Blake but it's still quite the impressive feat to see him molding DJ into what he is today. I still think DJ would not be as good anywhere else than with the Clips.

Back to the topic at hand, even with the inflated rebounding numbers, what DJ is doing is quite impressive regardless. It'd still be nice for Griffin and his teammates to pull their fair share of rebounds, but for a guy to carry the load of his team's rebounding while not missing any games is remarkable. It could prove to be a vulnerability given that we are so heavily reliant on a single source of rebounding on the roster.

probably they're a bit inflated but i really couldn't care less.

it's all about the quality of the rebounds he gets, not the number. he is CONSISTENTLY getting the tough, tough rebounds which are critical to winning tight games.

being a guy who can snag 50/50 balls is already huge. being a guy who can get the rebound he has absolutely 0 business getting? that's something special.

one more thing to point out.

Paul in the last 10 games
22/9/6
18/13/6
25/13/6
12/12/6
22/16/5
10/9 (30 point blow out of the Kings at home)
30/10
22/14
19/13/4
28/12/5

More importantly…Paul's minutes in the last 10 games
40
36
40
37
40
27
39
39
40
38

we've gotta give him a longer spell here and there but it doesnt look like our roster permits.
Baby Doc has to step up and play some mistake free ball (not actually be a good player). We have a game tomorrow…No way in hell I want Paul playing more than 33-35 minutes tomorrow.

Paul shouldn't have to play more than 30 minutes tomorrow. It's the Wolves. Should be a cake blowout with Austin, CJ, Hamilton, Turk, Baby the entire 4th Q, with a sprinkle of Udoh.

Great win, great performance on the boards by DJ. Only complaint about this one is Doc's obvious bias towards his son when distributing minutes.

We shouldn't take the Wolves with a grain of salt. Ever since they got KG they've been competing. Barely lost to Memphis yesterday.

Great rebounder, but yes, he has had some inflation without Blake

Roster wise, Wolves don't look too bad with KG in there and all their guys healthy, wouldn't underestimate them.

With Barnes out, I guess we will see an extended look at Hamilton, or maybe Hedo starts?

DJ is a great rebounder but we are a terrible rebounding team so i'd say his numbers are very generous. It's just the way we play.

wut?

I am not sure i get what you guys are saying. just because one of our bigs is out, somehow that inflates DJ's rebounding numbers? how can he possibly box out two opposing bigs at the same time? yeah he may grab one that was bouncing to blake's way which DJ just happen to be at the right place at the right time, but to say his numbers are false because we are missing (already a disappointment in rebounding department) blake, is to say that Dennis Rodman's numbers were inflated because some how David Robinson found a way to not give a **** about rebounding.

no matter what others may say, when a one man can out-rebound an opposing team that is not missing any member of its rotational bigs and yet that one man can record what DJ is doing, it is ALL TO HIS CREDIT.

DJ is the next big rebounding machine after Dennis to big Ben. DJ is going to be a force from here on and remember, he is only 26 years old and your classic late bloomer. I honestly think that DJ so far has been more impactful then Blake has been as our big this season. (I didn't say DJ is the better big, I said DJ has been the more impactful-if that is even a word)
ehhhhh f it.

If defense were offense, Clippers' Jordan would be MVP

"DJ told us, 'I don't need no double teams,' " Paul said. "As great as Pau is -- and he's probably the most skilled big we have in our league -- DJ said he was going to take the challenge.

"You look at the stat sheet, you don't see how many times Aaron Brooks didn't drive because DJ was there. How many shots guys went up and they passed it."

"I don't think I've ever played a game as a Clipper without him," Paul said correctly. "As much as sometimes I'm on him and stuff like that, it's because I trust him and believe in him. I know I take him for granted. Couldn't imagine playing without him."
