I think it will become evident within the next few years that it was a huge mistake to offer one of the most hyped #1 picks in the last 10 years for a star who was leaving anyway. I still can't understand why the Cavs couldn't wait until next offseason to sign Love if they were determined to have him.

How in the hell did he put up inflated rebounding numbers? Minnesota had good rebounders last season. Better than Cleveland this year I'd wager.

That would be a stupid wager.

Pek/Dieng/Turiaf > your centers rebounding. Rubio is one of the best rebounding PGs, Irving isn't. Waiters isn't. LeBron is the only better rebounder out of 4 positions.

Pretty much this. The fact that a disgruntled 3rd option Love could leave at the end of the season would make the Wiggins/Bennett trade perhaps the worst in NBA history if it came to fruition.

Love asked for more touches near the basket, not more touches in general.

Blatt ' offense is predicated on ball movement and off-ball action. If these players buy in and really take it in stride, say around midseason, I don't see a better 2nd half team than us.

Kevin Love is a player who can hustle, rebound, and score from anywhere. He doesn't want to be a spot up shooter and I understand that.

I hope we aren't seeing a repeat of the same old tired story where the Cavs bring in a hired gun who suddenly loses his shooting eye once he hits the shores of Lake Erie. Hopefully it's just the stiff neck!

Think Damon Jones, Donyell Marshall and Larry Hughes. None of the three came close to the shooting percentages they had before signing here.

That is probably the only time Damon Jones, Donyell Marshall, and Larry Hughes have been mentioned in the same post as Kevin Love. Larry Hughes was never a good outside shooter. Love will be fine. I'm more worried about Dion, Kyrie, and LBJ getting him the ball on the block promptly.

How is this a real topic?

Love will be a tremendous asset for the Cavs. He's a guy who DESIRES efficiency. His scoring numbers will go down, but his shooting percentages from about December on should be outstanding*.

Oh and Damon Jones had a lot of holes in his game but shooting wasn't one of them... He averaged 39.0% from 3 for his career(57th all-time) and 39.2% with the Cavs(which would be 54th all-time). Considering 3 pt shots were the reason for his existence in the league and made up the bulk of his FGAs I'd think he did OK as a shooter. If he's a terrible shooter than so were Reggie Miller(39.5%), JJ Redick(39.0%), Craig Hodges(39.9%), Dennis Scott(39.6%), Dirk Nowitzki(38.3%), Michael Redd(37.9%) and a ton of other great 3 point shooters in the range of his performance with the Cavs and his career.

His LOWEST percentage from 3 was in his 1st year here when he hit 140 3s on 37.7%. His percentage went up every year he was here and he hit 115 3s on 41.7% in his last year here. He was a one-dimensional player but his dimension(shooting) was never the issue. I'd think Cavs fans of all people would be aware of what he brought to this team. LeBron James sure is aware of it and remembers it. After all, Damon Jones hit the game winning shot(cold off the bench) to give LeBron the 1st playoff series win of his career and they're still tight to this day.

I hope Kevin Love doesn't garner the same reaction from fans... Cleveland fans seem to love to tear down their own for some reason.

sucks that we didn't keep Wiggins BUT it is what it is, now Love is still extremely talented he just seems like a guy who only does things when he HAS to.

we all have that friend, that only does things when he has to, we never seen Love in the playoffs before but he might elevate his game.

It's not due to lack of talent, it's due to lack of effort for Love right now.

You're not concerned with Blatts coaching?

Should I list off all of the incomprehensibly horrible coaching moves that can be referenced from just the Houston game?

You complained about minutes. Dellys and Mozgovs. We were thin and there are no other options to Delly. Mozgov should have played more but TT was playing well.

Also, one game. He's a great coach.

There are more options than delly. Delly gets played too much in every game as well but this was ridiculous. Shumpert played 17 less minutes and he is a better shooter, ball handler, athlete, defender. But who does Blatt go to? The worst player on our team and maybe the most useless in the league.

The Mozgov problem happens every game he never plays the fourth.

This is just one problem although it is a brainless and very unnecessary one.
